JackleApp and MicTheMicrophone Sketch

I had the urge to sketch MicTheMicrophone and JackleApp together.

I made Jackle’s top hat a little ‘steampunky’ but I kind of like it.

This was done on a Wacomb tablet in Easy Paint Tool SAI

That's why it looks a little more smooth. Don't get me wrong, it looks good, I'm just so used to "sketch" being usually something thrown together under thirty seconds in a pocket notebook of some sort.

 

But to actually give some criticism, I'd give it less contrast. Not to be terribly mean, what I'm seeing looks good but the contrast between the outlines and the shadings on the inside just kind of distracts me a bit from the main piece here.

Don't worry about being mean, I would rather have harsh criticism than nothing at all.

 

As for the sketchy look. I see sketching as more of a technique than a speed. Although this did only take about an hour or so.

An hour isn't bad. I used to blind contour and I would spend hours only drawing, like, one sixth of an object. Although blind contours and sketches usually don't compare to each other terribly well, I'd say you're on the better end of the spectrum as far as time management goes.
