gaming Can I replace my Sega Saturn Internal Clock battery with Any of them?

OK, so everytime I reset my Sega Saturn, I have to go through a clock screen, and my save data is deleted, and it is because the Internal Clock Battery died out. Will any CMOS battery, including those from Old Laptops work on the Saturn? or is it an expensive specified one. I need to know as I may need to repair the Saturn. Not many people on these forums own a saturn but if you do, tell me.

The specific battery you need is a CR2032 3V battery. Plenty of electronics stores have them as well as watch stores. Just be careful replacing it, don't want anything to get damaged.

It's only £1 for 2!!! Question is then, why did someone say that ''These things aren't cheap'' if the battery is only worth $1.50? Well thanks, I hope this is the right battery.

RE:Found out he was not referring to the battery, he was referring to the save cartridge, fair enough.

You don't really need a backup cartridge if keep the CMOS battery in the console itself new and running. This is definitely the right battery.

Thanks, you must know more about the Saturn then I do. I have a problem with the dreamcast and I tried to solve it by Recalibrating the laser. I wonder though, if it's because most of the games require a CMOS battery to work?
