Luna and Celestai were born as Alicorns, and have Immortality. Cadence was a Pegasus who was turned into an Alicorn, and like Twilight, will die of old Age.

 

So Natural Alicorns are immortal, while artificial ones aren't.

We've seen a relative of Rainbow's:

Rainbow implied that pegasi can start flying at a pretty early age in "Baby Cakes."  The above pic applies again.

No.  Even when it does, they aren't necessarily limited to just the one talent.  Fluttershy's special talent is neither "fluttering" nor being "shy."  And her special talent isn't...  Being a butterfly.  Her special talent is being good with / communicating with animals; though she's also a good singer.

 

Why was Starlight Glimmer trying to collect cutie marks? Is she planning something truly sinister?

 

 

She didn't seem interested in doing much of anything other than removing them and keeping them just out of reach.  And they've got that pretty convenient auto-return-to-flank function, so storing them behind glass / in a glass bottle appeared to be a necessity.  We can assume she couldn't outright destroy them.

1. Having 2 other sisters does not make them triplets.  That would mean they'd all be the same age (born at the same time).  

 

2. Every rose has it's thorn. 

 

3. Was I "booted" from my house when I went to college? No.  Will I be "booted" from my house when I start my job/career out of college one day?  No.  (Not being mean, I promise, just trying to use an analogous example). 

 

The pegasi, like any other ponies, may move on to live their own lives.

7. Despite what others have told you, yes, they do.  Others are taking it too literally.  Cutie Marks are representations of something greater, not limiting factors.  Fluttershy's butterfly CM covers all animals and wild life, and that should be a given.

11. Born alicorns are immortals.  However, I am not sure if there is any canonical evidence for either born alicorns or non-born alicorns as to being or not being immortal.  Again, I don't know.  There may be, there may no be.

Most of these fall into the 'we don't know yet' because they've not been answered for real and for true in the show itself. Some of them may have been answered elsewhere however, depending on how much you think those other sources are 'canon'.

Pinkie Pie seems to have three sisters according what was seen on the show. I believe Maud Pie has been explicitly stated as being older than Pinkie, but it has not been explicitly said in an episode the birth order of the other sisters. It may have been mentioned in some of the novels, comics, or other sources but those are somewhat twitchy with respect to canon.

In one episode we see a filly Raindbow Dash with what appears to be her father. He has not appeared otherwise. It's possible that those three pegasi are estranged from their families in some way, or that all pegasi are not as family-orientated as the other pony tribes. It's not been explicitly stated in show.

Possibly as MLP starts exploring other regions of Equestria. We know pears exist in Equestria, as there have been references made to them.

No reason why not. Oddly enough, I have some experience with RL horses and a variety of fruits, and all the horses I deal with tent to prefer apples over pears. Oranges seem hit or miss as some horses will go nuts for them, while others really don't like them. Kiwi's seem to confuse them in general.

We don't know for sure.

Not directly. The Cutie Mark usually represents their special talent, but often it's poetic rather than literal. Pinkie Pie's baloons representing her 'party pony' talent or possibly a more generic 'entertainer' talent, rather than specifically a talent with balloons.

Possibly, if the writers come up with some way to use the setting further. We may have run the course of that particular setting though.

Farm them. This may be a hidden joke for anyone watching the show who live on a farm. Due to the way soil works, especially in areas of glacial till, rocks constants rise to the surface of worked soil. This leads to the common joke that most farms are really just 'rock farms'.

Unclear. Lauren Faust stated that Celestia and Luna were born alicorns, but as she is no longer the show runner this can't be taken as gospel anymore. One novel indicated that Cadance as born a pegasi and became an alicorn later, and the novels seem far more 'canon' relative to the show than other media. There have been a couple of things in the novels that showed up in the show itself later.

 

Are alicorn princesses immortal or have god status?

 

Not deities, and there are hints that alicorns themselves, while having 'magic' different from the other three pony tribes and are considered relatively powerful, are not naturally immortal. Speculation states that Luna and Celestia have achieved effective immortality on top of their alicorn status somehow, and that Twilight and Cadance have not yet.

Don't know. It's possible they had to be stored somewhere simply to keep them from returning to their original owners, and that was the beginning and end of Starlight's intent. She didn't really give any indication that she had planned any further ahead than that.

It's unknown, maybe Tiara's is to be a drama queen, and Silver Spoon's is collecting spoons? Honestly, I think their cutie marks are there just to be there, like I doubt they'll ever be apart of the plot.

I'm pretty sure somewhere along the line, someone said they were born Alicorns. Just look at their flowing manes.

 

I think natural alicorns are somewhat immortal, but I dunno about this "god-like" status thing. I mean, some ponies say "oh my Celestia", so it's hard to say how that goes down. I'm pretty sure one of the writers said before that artificial alicorns live normal life spans.

 

Guess we'll have to wait until future episodes to find out!
