I have a question: How would I start a conversation with someone through status updates? I see people do it all of the time, but I can't seem to. If I try initiating a conversation with someone, it thinks I'm doing a status update to myself.

 

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

You comment on someone's Profile feed

(If it's directly to that person)

If you mean you are trying to reply to a status update with the text box above it, you will be disappointed when it instead creates a new status update.

There is a reply link below the status update; click on that and a text box to reply with will appear.

 

I've done that a couple of times, too.

On the user you want to talk to profile, go to "profile feed" (pictured below);

 

 

 

Then, you basically make a status update that's directed at them;
