Yes! Do it! What I originally planned with Rarity was to date her after, my and Lektra's fight, but you can go ahead and have her tell me that she'll date me if I can beat her. (And then it happens anyway. ) And I'll take control of Rarity when we go out ok? To take some burden off you.

I think that the bar may now turn into another milkshake stand, hopefully with less fights. Wilhelm will be in the corner (possibly with Twilight) nursing a glass (or several) of Scotch, Lorec and Tyra will be attempting to make the other pony spontaneously combust from alcohol consumption, Caliber will be doing Calibery things, and I'm pretty sure Rainbow will try and get in on the drinking competition between Lorec and Tyra. Meanwhile, Applejack will be drinking cider and talking with Twilight or Rainbow, whichever one is present.

It depends on the gemstone, but with the proper one, you could serve to produce, store, redirect, or even amplify magical abilities. Much like the Elements of Harmony, the Crystal Heart, and the Alicorn amulet, although there are very few gems that are anywhere near that powerful, and they require extreme and specific magic of their own in order to function.

I'm starting to feel like Wilhelm's most at home in the laboratory or on the battlefield. Which is presumably why he's my ponysona with certain background changes.

What's more fun than massively awkward encounters?   In all seriousness, though, not a lot of characters are going to frequent the first, which means you're going to be fighting a lot of ponies if you want to meet them.
