in my mind, i would think it would be impossible, or at least difficult for her to metalbend it, since its a all-new type of metal she's seen.

I was thinking of giving IB 2 more DINE moves:

DINP (Dry Ice Nuclear Punch): he sends the DINE to his arm and delivers a punch with it. It's faster, but a little weaker than normal DINE

 

DINDK (Dry Ice Nuclear Drop Kick): sends DINE to his ind legs and drop kicks with that. Slower, but with more direct power.

I think you mean a conversion of Wil becoming a Unicorn? Really with what he does I don't see it as too much of an issue to invent a flying machine like I did for mine, though for balance purposes it needs to not be as athletic. In fact Lektra doesn't market the backpack Magitek. It would also mean he would be less weapon dependent. I mean there's s certain amount of belief that needs to be waived away to him carrying so much stuff around. He's not athletic and really how fast can be knock an arrow at someone, and how often? Bows have reload time and time to fire. All the accuracy in the world doesn't matter if he can't hit a target that incinerates the arrows. The weapons though, while cool and all should have a limited number of uses because of him not being magical and you can't really expect to hit someone with that in open space, even another non athletic character like Lektra. I just think if he would self power the weapons as a Unicorn like Lektra does with the ones on her suit it would work out better for longer fights. Well she doesn't power them so much as her weapons amplify her existing magic and focus it into what she needs.

 

I'm still surprised he was able to hit EWS who flies around.

 

So anyway about that canon. Anything that one shot kills is a big red flag in RPs, but I'm sure you know that very well. I'd say it runs into the same issue as the bow, which is just hefting the thing around against any target in open space. Unless it can fire like a machine gun even a non athletic character can dodge it and be justified to continue dodging due to how heavy or how long it takes to recharge for balance purposes. I would also think the attack radius would be small due to smaller size. I assume the primary fire mode is machine gun?

 

I honestly don't know about converting him. I would, but he's definitely far past the "new OC" territory now, and he has a bunch of stuff where he was a pegasus.... *sigh*

I need to think these things through before I make an OC...

 

 

 

By the way, I probably shouldn't call it an arc cannon; this is rather different from the artillery concept, so I'll term it something else. Possibly something like... eh, I'll think about it. Creativity doesn't like me today.

 

It's a five-pronged machine gun. The middle prong, which is what focuses and tunes the actual laser, is an alloy frame with crystals set in under heat vents. The specially-enchanted crystals focus and tune the frequency of the main laser, allowing it to have the unique property of almost shattering stuff instead of just vaporizing or melting it. The other four prongs tilt in at a 45 degree angle at their ends, and are actually something like the magic lightning rods I described earlier. They collect mana from the atmosphere and use it to power the gun. 

 

The second mode is in which the prongs reverse output, draining the battery to produce that whole sine-cosine cancellation effect I was talking about. This is the one that doesn't work yet, because he can't figure out how to make the frequency reader small enough to integrate into the weapon.

 

 

The actual arc cannon is massive, and is sort of like what would happen if someone integrated a laser artillery cannon and a very large arc thrower. No way I'm carrying that anywhere, besides, it would look horrible as a rifle.

It's your call dude. I'm just saying magic based stuff would make more sense for him if he could do magic himself. I know a person who creatively implemented magic on a Pegasus, but of course that's not canon either.

 

So it's a magic machine laser gun, but only the middle actually fires. Very clever. I'd give it like two shots max before it gives out and a cooldown. It just sounds incredibly OPed, unless it's got a small radius then I guess have at it.

...I could say that he screwed up a genetic engineering experiment and turned himself into a unicorn, but I feel that would be really really really really

It's designed as an area saturation weapon, so if each laser had a bullet measurement, it'd be 5.56 mm, or a standard assault rifle.

So like small bullets covering a large radius? That's kind of like what I do with her Spike Rain, but I need to stop using that for a while. It's gonna become predictable. Gotta figure out another way to spread the metal around. One of these days I gotta find someone brave enough to fight her on an all metal battlefield......
