"Even if I lose, I wouldn't mind really." A spiked claw appear from the barrel, each finger wiggling. "Woo, all is good." The cannon returns back to regular hoof. "Hee hee, you know, I know somepony back home that has the same attitude as you." Inax put the screwdriver back into his sweater pocket. "He always gets his butt whooped. ow - I feel sorry that you keep getting you plot owned by this Ice pony. You'll someday exact your revenge one day...but then get back to the bottom and start over again .w ."

Electron said sternly, "I don't need anypony but me! got that? I'm outta here, there's too many fools in this area, you're making my IQ drop. See ya!" Electron then flies off, out of sight.

 

Meanwhile, Blizzard was feverishly munching on popcorn while watching the fight, "Crap crap crap crap!"

An earth pony mare, a few inches short for her size and sporting a winged helmet and a rather intimidating axe on her back, approached the arena where she could hear a commotion going on. Upon approaching the doors, she spotted a sign for a fighting tournament taking place, with spots still open!

 

"Haha! Excellent!" She chimed, hopping on her hooves excitedly, "I cannot wait to see what the local fighters are made of!"

 

Without hesitating, she entered into the lobby and searched for the signups.

Blizzard had gotten up from his seat to get more popcorn when he saw Tyra, "No way....AXE GIRL?! Is that you?! How ya doing? *hugs her and lets go* How have you been since our adventure? Are you gonna fight here? I feel sorry for whoever faces you. You got my full support!"

Tyra perked up, and spotted Blizzard running toward her and hugging her. With a grin, she returned the hug with force.

 

"Greetings, old friend!" She greeted, and let him go, "I have been doing well, and I do plan to sign up for the fights!"

 

She smirked at him. "My thanks for your support!"

Green walked in from outside. "Skiiiitz!!! If he scares me one more time im gonna put a bell on him."

"Hey Axe lady have you seen skitz?" He saw skitz hanging from the ceiling above him "yep he gets a be-" skitz landed on green "who are you?" He said looking at Ice blizzard "who are you. You remind me of eggs...AXE!!!" Skitz stared at Tyra.

Blizzard was happy to see his friend again, "Glad to see you're ok. Caliber's here too! We got so much to catch up on. "

 

He then saw green and skitz, "Woah who the heck are you? I'm Ice Blizzard and this is Tyra. Who are you guys? Where did you come from?" Blizzard said confused.

Green pushed skitz off of him. "Im green edge and this psycho right here is ski-" skitz interrupted "I am a potato." Green looked at skitz "you done?" Skitz nodded "Im green edge, he's skitz we were just outside and this psycho disappeared and well I guess you know the rest." Skitz was holding a small bag "This is a bag of bits. Do a flip."

Tyra nodded to Blizzard, happy to see him too. "Indeed, we must-"

 

She was cut off by the stranger asking her where a 'Skitz' was, then another strange pony appearing out of nowhere to stare at her.

"Um...should I be concerned?" She muttered, "Because I am very concerned right now."

Blizzard was amazed, "Wow, you two seem cool, hope to watch your fights out there and good luck against whoever you might face in this arena." Blizzard then turned to Tyra, "Don't be concerned axe girl, nopony's gonna mess anything up around here. Wanna go see Caliber? He'll be happy to see you too. "

"Well thanks." Green said as he started to leave the building "c'mon skitz we have work to do."

"But I dont wanna." Skitz said with a frown "I wanna go fight more ponies."

"Fine skitz. Just don't lose or you get intensive training." "Ok green tell mars to sign up he needs the money." "Will do" green said as he left the building.

"Very well," Tyra muttered, still a little concerned by the strange ponies and their...eccentricity. Nonetheless, she was taught not to judge, so she didn't.

 

"Aye, I would like that," she grinned to Blizzard, and began following him, "is anypony else here other than you two?"

Suddenly, a familiar dark figured dropped powerfully out of the sky, landing gracefully on one of the empty seats.

"Greetings, children." Luna called out, folding her wings back and cheerfully addressing the ponies in the stands. "Do not be alarmed. After making the announcements, we simply wished to find a better seat to watch the festivities. We found the booth a bit...chafing," she muttered tone more than a little forced. She flexed her wings two more times before sitting, just briefly enjoying the feeling of open air. Next year, some of the budget would definitely be going into making public places "Alicorn-accessible."

Wilhelm's main attention was fixed on the fight now that the newbie had left with Caliber, but the familiar voice of the lunar half of the Diarchy was more than enough for a interested gaze. When Luna spoke, he stifled a small chuckle at the immortal Princess's space problems, and then sectioned the part of his brain far away which had decided, on a whim, to devise a spell which would make alicorns temporarily the size of normal ponies so that they could fit in public places without...well, being stuffed inside a too-small box.

 

Wilhelm shook his head, irritated that he would even spend that long on the idea, and merely bowed to Luna- a moment out of synchronization with the crowd. His internal sense of obsessive order was irritated by this, but Wilhelm was accustomed to telling elements of his body and mind to shut up. Preferably forever, but he never accomplished that. Clamping his jaws shut around a sigh, his thoughts turned to Annete.

 

Surely, after what Electron said to her and her reaction, he should... well, on that, he wasn't entirely sure. But at the very least, he would go talk to her. The problem not really resolved (but it made Wilhelm feel better to think so),he got up from his seat and moved to the one next to Annete's. He stayed quiet and waited for her to speak when- if- she was ready.

Blizzard said to Tyra as they walked, "Unfortunately, nopony else we know is here...for now. But you never know. Maybe somepony will-- holy...Princess Luna?! " Blizzard was over excited to see princess Luna and bowed to her, Then he said with some nervousness, "Hi Princess, how are you?"

Tyra perked up at Blizzard's sudden excitement, and trotted over with him. Indeed, Princess Luna was amongst the audience in the arena.

 

Despite being a warrior from the North, she knew how to respect royalty, so she removed her helmet and bowed her head to the alicorn.

"Greetings, Princess Luna," she began, "I, Tyra Shatterhoof of the Shatterhoof Clan, am honoured to meet you."

as expected, caliber did nothing except give a friendly wave to luna when she made her appearance. "hey, luna!" he then noticed tyra. "oh...hey, tyra." he walked up to her. "you get any stronger since we last met?" he asked, a challenging glint in his eyes. "cause i sure have."

"I am well, Sir Ice Blizzard," she said, nodding at him as he bowed. She then turned to greet her next guest. "And to you, Tyra of the Shatterhoof Clan...Welcome," she said giving an equal bow of respect. "I am just as honored to meet you."

 

With that, she stood, preparing to open into small conversation. A passing unicorn interrupted her, however, stealing her conversation with Tyra and throwing her off with "unconventional" speech patterns.

 

"Um... heeeey," she said almost dumbly in response to Caliber's greeting, giving an awkward wave back in response. Not liking the way the word tasted, she made a mental note to have it scratched off of personal records while she turned to Ice Blizzard.

 

"Tell me, Ice Blizzard what do you know of these two contestants?" she said, pointing with an outstretched wing towards where Sleight Mist and Lektra Bolt were fighting.

Anette had spent the last few minutes in shock, barely registering anything around her. Her dolls floated around her in various places, desperately trying to comfort her, but their efforts to cheer her up hadn't produced the slightest change in her attitude.

 

When Wilhelm showed up to sit down, she gave no indication that she even knew he had done so. But she began to speak regardless, talking in a scattered, breathless tone.

 

"He spoke, and I just... I got so angry. Most of my life, me and my dolls have been made fun of, and I got so sick of it, I... I wanted to hurt him."

 

She buried her head in her hooves and sobbed, unable to meet anypony's eyes as she continued.

 

"...And I would have. But when I tried to get my dolls to do it, every one of them refused. But... I couldn't... I tried to take control of them and force them to do it, and..."

 

She nearly dry-heaved as she recalled the memory.

 

"It's the first time i've ever heard them scream. I'm so sorry..." she said, back to sobbing pitifully.

Skitz appeared behind luna. "psst. Luna. Pssssst. PSSSSSSSSSST listen to me." Skitz then repeatedly poked her in the head "luna...you still owe. You owwwweeee. Where are my biiitss?" Skitz now poking faster than most were capable of moving "hey. Hey. HEEEYYY!!!! Listen. Listen." He basically became rapid fire annoying.

Wilhelm waited for a moment, collecting his thoughts. "Well... I believe that what you did was forced by emotion. Everypony, when they're pushed beyond their limits, do things they will regret immensely. In your case, it was revenge, pain, and anger that drove you to do the things you are now regretting." He went silent, and resumed in a quieter voice. "For me, it was the same, except that it nearly ended in the death of my best friend. But now, look around you. They're trying to comfort you; they know full well that what you did wasn't something you'd do normally. If the fault is anypony's at all, then it would be Electron's for driving you into this state! I will not presume to lecture you further, merely wait with you if you wish. Or, you know, whatever you want me to do."

 

Tentatively, Wilhelm put a hoof on her shoulder and then moved it to her cheek, wiping away the tears. "Over the years, I have learned that regret is an emotion that only serves to cause you pain. What you really must do is look to those you have wronged. Tell them of your apologies, and if they accept, then you are free to let it go; it is pointless to let regret carry on further from that point. Go ahead; ask them if they are angry at you still, and if they wish anything of you to remedy whatever harm you may have done. I believe that the answer is no to both."

Blizzard was still a little bit nervous to be near the princess, so his voice was a bit shaky, "Uh..well.. ahem. Uh I fought Sleight Mist and won via mt D.I.N.E blast. She's pretty good, even though we almost broke each others lives. hehe. And I plan to talk to her again after this fight, to try and be her friend. As far as Lektra, it seems like she's got this locked up with her metal and electro powers. I myself intend to face Lektra even though I know already I'm probably not gonna win. 

 

The reason is because with her body always electrofied, I can't touch her with my hoof attacks. And I could use my ice, and that'll probably short her out when it melts to water, but she can still metalbend, which I have no way of coutering that as of right now. So I think I'm gonna lose against Lektra. But I still wanna fight her to see what she can do first hoof, and even though it's a losing fight, I'm still not backing down you know?"

Tyra smiled and returned her helmet to her head, quickly catching Caliber over as he, rather unprofessionally, greeted Luna.

 

"It is nice to see you too," she snarked to the unicorn, then smirked, "but aye, I have grown much stronger since we last saw each other! I would be more than happy to show you."

Though tears still streamed down her face, Anette tried her best to listen to Wilhelm's words, closing her eyes and listening. For a minute, there was hardly a movement or a sound from her, save the occasional chanting of "i'm sorry", before she opened her eyes.

 

"No, they aren't angry. They say that they just wanted to protect me. They thought I would never forgive myself for if I had done something serious to Electron Wave Storm out of anger, and I can't say that I argue with them."

 

She closed her eyes and listened for another second before continuing. "And they also say they don't want anything, except for me to stop beating myself up over this. I...can try," she said, wearing the ghost of a smile as she addressed both Wilhelm and the dolls. "Thank you."

Luna gave a small smile to Ice Blizzard. "I applaud your bravery, though I ask that you do not push yourself too hard in a losing battle, Ice Blizzard." At this her expression switched, becoming a small frown. "My sister and I will likely both agree that we do not wish to see the results of bringing you back from the grave."

 

At that moment, the whispering from behind her caught her attention. She turned around to address the new pony... only to catch a hoof jab to the right eye.

Blizzard became overconfident, "Don't worry princess, I'm not dying now, or ever for that matter.   I'm gonna be fine. Now excuse me, I gotta go watch the fight from my seat. Hope your having fun watching us princess! " Blizzard then goes back to his seat to watch the rest of the fight.

caliber grinned. "is that a challenge?" he asked, that glint in his eye. "iv gotten faster, mostly." he started to laugh when luna got a poke in the eye, and didnt care that over half the stadium turned to glare at him.

 

he really didnt know why ponies expected him to give the alicorns special treatment. in his eyes, the're just ponies that just happen to be immortal. nothing more, nothing less.
