Dsanders 5,750 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 (edited) So I noticed this one member's thread about how he would like friends, and I thought I'd make a similar thread. I'm doing this out of boredom. My summer vacation has also just started so I figure I could spend some of the free time getting to know new people. Where to start ... well, I'm nice and I like nice people. I also like awesome people. Um ... if you love nature, we will instantly get along. I love nature. Nature lovers are awesome. So ... that's it. xP Edited May 26, 2015 by Dsanders

Dsanders 5,750 May 26, 2015 Author Share May 26, 2015 PS: I think I just saw you post a status update about people being overly sensitive nowadays. Yep. It seems like that, at least in my experience. I'm beginning to realize that I tend to be more blunt online than in real life. I should add that I like people who can be blunt. Because people who can be blunt, can be real with me. No bullshit. I like that.
Dash Holiday 15 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 I think everyone is, at least a bit, more blunt online than in person. You'll have no problem meeting blunt people on the web which is kinda nice because you can cut right through the shit and know if a person is even worth talking to.. unlike in real life.

Unfortunately, blunt people may often come off as rude to sensitive people. I have "offended" a handful of people in various online debates in which I considered their anecdotal claims as bullshit. Because honestly, I find anecdotes irrelevant when it comes to intellectual discussions ... That's just me. Gotta love freedom of speech. Anyway, back to the topic. If anyone on here is from southern California, I will buy you coffee (if you want) if we ever meet. xP
Dash Holiday 15 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 I would love to take you up on that if you weren't on the other side of the continent. But yeah.. I avoid most debates online and with friends because unless it's something I really actually care about.. what's the point? I'd rather just listen to people rambling and form my own opinions.

In all seriousness, it takes some time before I actually consider someone as a friend but you've definitely made a good first impression so far. I've always wanted to visit Oregon. I'd love to see the Cascades up there as well. It's just right above my home state. Edited May 26, 2015 by Dsanders

Dsanders 5,750 May 26, 2015 Author Share May 26, 2015 Washington is definitely one of the "must see states" on my bucket list. The natural reserves from what I've heard are breathtaking. The weather is also cool all year round. *sighs* Sounds like a place I'd truly call "home."

Let me explain, while the best coffee around is in Kansas now, it is actually originally from Portland. A buddy of mine who was originally from Oregon opened a coffee shop here about two years ago, and it's become legendary locally as the best coffee in the Midwest. It was also intended to be taken lightly, I'm not trying to stomp on the northwest's toes here as I've never been there to try theirs. 2 Signature by the ever-awesome Overdrive! Pinki Pie FTW! What I wouldn't give to be there and to be in awe of such a glorious scene. How long ago were you there? About two months ago for the falls. The only thing I was disappointed about going there is that I didn't get a chance to go on the trail that led to the top of the falls themselves. But it was the first time I had ever been that close. My hair was soaked by the time I was finished taking pictures. Wanna meet Jackie?Check out my fics!Artists I recommend!

Dewdlz 939 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 Friends have to be earned, through communication and time. Beginning as strangers, then bonding. I usually wouldn't call someone my friend until I've had some deep conversation experience. Trust issues. Not my fault - my opinion. The doors open however, but I haven't exactly made a real friend on here. Too many sudden-ending PM's and friend requests sent to me mainly on a whim. https://widekmusic.bandcamp.com/album/journey-to-the-stars ^Space-djent music for Luna.
