this looks really good in terms of knowledge on how to draw ponies actually. what i think is that youre lacking equipment or software.

you seem to already be using a tablet, since i see the lines have several sizes. though the lines are a tad wobly which can be fixed if you have the right software. and the background coloring is artistic in a way yet then again it's not.

smooth coloring transitions can be added easily once again with the right software. 

 

so my first question is what drawing program are you using?

 

and if you want i can show some good software for drawing. as well as maybe give you some tips on how to improve those backgrounds ^^

Its true, I lack the software, but really this drawing was made on online paint program on the compter, though I think I should practise drawing more...
