ggg-2 3,553 May 30, 2015 Share May 30, 2015 (edited) In Filli Vanilli, just before finding out about Big Mac's voice, Rarity notes that he's late, at which point, he shows up, huffing and puffing and generally looking exhausted and out of breath. But why? it just seems odd for a stallion who possesses as much power and stamina as he does. Edited May 30, 2015 by ggg-2 Don't be a nerd. Join the herd! Red Cedar 1,408 May 30, 2015 Share May 30, 2015 Mac's built for power and stamina, not speed. He's not a sprinter, but he was trying to be to get to practice on time. Keep him at a trot and he can make it from one end of Equestria to the other without breaking a sweat. Make him gallop, he'll get winded quick. The Awesome One 1,315 May 30, 2015 Share May 30, 2015 He is probably a slow and steady kind of pony so running tires him faster than heavy lifting would. Plus, I suppose it was to show that he was in a hurry.

Zejgar 25 May 30, 2015 Share May 30, 2015 it just seems odd for a stallion who possesses as much power and stamina as he does. And this is why he's merely out of breath after reaching the destination, instead of collapsing midway.

I can confirm that being strong for lifting or carrying does not equate to running stamina.
