Performance can be a bit slow at times, but they launched a successful kickstarter very recently to raise funds for making it "faster than photoshop." A lot of programs can be used to achieve the same effect (or roughly so), usually it's just a question of additional tools or how to get there from what I can tell. Anyways, I use my tablet for the exact same program, PS CS6, or sometimes Illustrator of the same version. I like it, but I know plenty of people create great art with things like SAI.
