tbh you have a great hold on shading/lighting. it's the form you might wanna work on. especially the eyelashes are a bit to big i'd say. perhaps make the nose a bit less pointy...

the hair looks good though i have to admit.

pony bodies/heads are sooo hard lol, I'm used to drawing people, and even after a hundred something different pictures it still a bit rough around the edges.

I love how the colors compliment each other

Scribblers Oc really is pretty, no matter what version it is.

maybe she's born with it

Maybe its Neighboline

:D

I'm really not going to sugar coat it, but this looks horrible. But don't worry, I will give you some tips to make you better.

First off, don't use full saturation colors. They just hurt eyes and don't go well with any other color. Think of it: is any object (except void, which is technically nothing) completely black in real life? Probably not. Tone the intensity down a bit.

Second, the ear is way too oversized compared to the head. It's normally 1/3 the length of the head and at most 1 time its height, but generally not more. You should scale it down a bit.

Last, the eyes. They look, lifeless. The blurriness of the eyes make this picture look almost... creepy. Try to define the iris and the cornea better, and make the white reflection circles more apparent, and it will give you a more lively appearance for your drawings.

I'm dropping some tutorials here for you: http://www.reddit.com/r/MLPdrawingschool/comments/r8u74/useful_links_v2/

Read them, they're quite helpful. Also, the subreddit they're on is full of good artists and criticizers. They can give you great tips on how to improve your art. You should post there.

Always appreciate a good critique, and I totally see what your talking about. Thank you for the link! I'll check that out.
