"The sunset is such a beautiful thing", Omar thought to himself as he sat on the shore. The salty smell of the ocean filled his nostrils as he took a deep breath. As he exhaled he could see his breath turn into a mist and rise up into the air. He then began to pick up the scent of food that was being cooked somewhere near. Looking over to where most of the campfires he could see cooks making large assortments of foods to feed the masses. As he observed this, he began to notice the growing hunger in his stomach for he hadn't eaten since earlier this morning.

"Now would probably be a good time to join the other ponies by the fire", He thought as he stood and started in the direction of the nearest campfire.

@@Reaver,

Guy-Man was unsure of how to respond because of what she said about the stallions who drank cider. Should he lie and say he didn't, or should he fess up and say that he has a bit of a problem? He decided it would be best to speak the truth, "I... ummm... I have a bit of a problem... When I start drinking, I drink too much, and it tends to get me in trouble... Of course, no one ever knows it's me, I mean, most everypony only knows me by my helmet... I hope you don't think any less of me..."

Sharp, sat outside the tent, shivered. He wondered how he used to brush off the cold as though it was nothing when he was younger.

"Damn cold... Gets into your bones." He said to no one in particular.

He noticed a stack of firewood next to the tent. He raised his voice and said,

"Do you mind if I light a fire?"

Sharp didn't wait for an answer. He quickly got one going, and fed it until it was going reasonably well. He hoped the other would appreciate the warmth that a good fire could give.

"Force is not the word I'd use, but trickery was the path the chef choose ," I said snickering a little bit. This mare seemed like a pleasant one that's for sure. "I usually stayed secluded in my room, with only a visitor or two. I kept to myself reading my books, some which have given me some looks. Now I'm here serving food to pony folk which is a step up from being a local joke." I said with a smile, I looked behind the mare to see a stallion put up a sign. The sign said law enforcement sign up, I guess law is needed in a new land. Maybe I should sign up with this little militia, I even had my own equipment after all.

@@Ranger22,

Blitz chuckled. "Well, I sure am glad that chef 'tricked' you into serving some of your food," she said, trying some. Wow, it was... really good! She hadn't had food this... honest... since-- well, since as long as she could remember.

"I hope you keep cooking here occasionally. The chefs need all the hooves they can get-- I was volunteering the last few meals," Blitz said, chuckling. She saw, out of the corner of her eye, the bat pony she'd seen earlier setting up a "law enforcement" sign... so, a town really was in the makings. She needed to get in on some of the bigger meetings she'd heard about.

She levitated the eight filled bowls in the air. Right now, she had some friends to get back to. "If you ever want to drop by, there's a tent to the north-east side of the settlement. We'll probably run into each other again. What was your name? I'm Star Blitz, but call me Blitz."

@@Jellal Fernandes,

"What..? Oh, oh, no!" Glider cried. "It's just... I mean..." It was rather unnerving, she admitted; her main experience with cider abuse had been her father directly after separation. While he had still been sweet on her and Blitz, it had been tough. But, where he had let it affect his everyday life, Guy-Man clearly wasn't the worse for this problem of his. She took a breath. "Yeah, no, sorry..." she said apologetically. "I didn't mean it to sound like that. It's just when ponies just act stupid all the time because cider. I was just babbling, really; I'm nervous, I suppose. I certainly don't think any less of you."

Star Blitz, what an interesting name for a pony. If she was in zebra lands some tribes may have been too afraid to speak to her. "The pleasure is all mine, I do hope we meet another time. Others call me xander thank you for not listening to some ponies slander." Star Blitz was a very kind pony from what I've seen, I hope she makes a decent living in this new world. Looking back at the sign I rummaged through my saddle bags in search of my defense equipment. Sword, shield, helmet, chest plate, and shoulder pads everything was there. I was interrupted by a couple of hungry looking ponies, I gave a smile before serving them my brew. Was it actually good?

"That's good to hear... That you don't think any less of me, I mean... I'm a bit nervous too, but I lack self-confidence, especially around cute mares. Kind of funny, considering how flirty I am. Why are you nervous?" Guy-Man asked the mare inquisitively. He was really opening up to someone for the first time in years.

@@Ranger22,

Blitz nodded. "I hope to see you again," she said, smiling. Turning, she began moving back to the tent.

Night-time was falling in earnest now. Maybe if Peregrine wasn't too tired, they could do the hoof-care then...

It took her a few minutes to get back to the tent. Every pony else seemed to be inside except Sharp, who had made a fire. She smiled at him, dropping a bowl in front of him. "Thank you for the fire," she said, cheerfully. Poking her head through the tent flaps, she said, "dinner's up."

She noticed that Guy-Man and Glider were gone. She felt a spike of worry. What was with Glider making her worry today..? "Say, do any of you know where Glider and Guy-Manuel are?" She asked casually.

@@Jellal Fernandes,

Only now did Glider understand that Guy-Man was flirting with her. That was... novel, actually, and it only increased her nervousness. She half wanted to ask him if he really thought she was cute, just to hear him say it again, but quickly changed her mind. "You don't show that you're not confident--not when a pony first meets you," she said, and nudged him playfully on a sudden streak of energy. "I like that. It gives you... depth, you know?"

She sighed when Guy-Man asked her his question. "Well, I dunno... Blitz always says I'm just a nervous pony." She said sheepishly. "I'm going to try and change that, too, though. It's nice to be confident," Glider explained, "I just haven't quite figured it out yet. That actually is one of the things I used to admire most about celebrities and stuff--they're confidence. But it's nice to see even some of the most famous ponies as... well, ponies." She smiled at Guy-Man, and realized that she... she actually wanted this relationship. He really was nice, and she felt as though she could connect with him.

Guy-Man smiled at this remark, he liked being just some other pony. "It's starting to get a bit dark, and I'm starting to get a bit," his stomach growled, interrupting him, "hungry..." he finished, blushing a bit. "Maybe we should head back to camp and get some dinner. What do you say?"

"Sure," Glider said, smiling at him, zoning out a little bit. She found herself falling into something of an infatuation with the pony--his gentle voice, his sensitive character, even his mysterious sunglasses made her smile inwardly. I'm a lucky pony. "Yeah... yeah, they have good food," she said, trying to make conversation. "I like food. I mean... who doesn't like food? I mean, except for ponies who don't." She abruptly realized how silly the comment had sounded and sighed. "I mean--what's your favorite kind of food?" she said, changing the subject as they began the walk back to camp. They hadn't gone too far, and she was seeing the tents again.

(OOC: I almost said duck, because that's my favorite IRL and then I realized Guy-Man's a horse, so that rules out meat. XD)

"My favorite food?" Guy-Man asked rhetorically. "It's hard to say... I enjoy a lot of things... Ummmm... Wow, this is harder than I thought it would be... I've always liked cantaloupe and honeydew, but it's so hard to find good honeydew... I also enjoy apples, my personal favorites being McIntosh and Fuji. What about you?"

Omar's eyes widened as the scent of dinner grew stronger, it smelled like it was going to be a delicious meal. Curious about what they were cooking, he entered a small makeshift cooking station that was currently unmanned (that he knew of) to hopefully get a peek.

"Hey, what are you doing near my stew!", yelled an unknown stallion angrily.

Omar, being startled by this unknown voice, quickly backs away from the pot of stew almost bumping into the angry stallion. "What?", Omar blurted out not knowing what to say.

"I said what are you doing near my stew! You aren't stealing anything are you?", the stallion asked demandingly.

"Oh, well, I was just looking at what this amazing smell was, that's all. I WAS NOT thinking about stealing anything, that's just not something that I would do", Omar answered.

"Ok, just making sure you weren't one of those thieves that have been roaming around. Just yesterday I had a possession of mine stolen. Thankfully it wasn't a very valuable one, but it was still stolen. Ever since I've been sure to keep an eye out for suspicious ponies lurking around my possessions, and you should too. It's still as dangerous a place as back home I'm afraid..." The cook said cautiously glancing behind his back a few times, "Oh, how rude of me. Name's Ivan Swifthammer, yours?

Surprised by the friendliness of this stranger, Omar replies, "My names Omar Ironhoof, nice too meet you." *extends his hoof for a hoof shake (that's a thing right?)*

Ivan accepts the hoof shake. "So you wanted some dinner right?, Ivan asked with a faint smile on his face, "There's a few bowls of it over there", He said pointing towards a table near a campfire.

"Oh, how did I not notice that earlier", Omar said laughing to himself, "So you want to talk again sometime? I'd like to get to know you a bit more", he continued as he started to walk towards the table.

Thinking for a moment, Ivan then replied, "Sure, though my schedule is pretty much filled with cooking food for the next few days until we get a few more cooks. Anyway, I'd better get back to cooking, have a nice evening".

"You too", Omar half yelled, "Now time to actually eat something".

"I actually really like cherries," Glider said cheerfully. "It's too bad not more ponies grow them. Mm, that smells great." She added as they grew closer to the tents. "Let's go find out what it is!" She eagerly began flying towards the food, and took in the smell of a soup. Maybe that's what it was.

(Recently got accepted x3)

Travel walked out of a tent with a plate of food and sat down on a bench. "Lets see what we got here, soup and bread, ooh a bannana!" He dipped the bread in the soup and ate it, best thing he had tasted since that time he went to equestria's best restaurant, or maby he had been on this boat for way too long, either way he savored every bite of food. He pulls out a peice of paper and a quil, he starts to write down every part of the island he has seen, making small triangles to represent tents. "Can't wait to do this, Hopefully im not the only one mapping this new land, wait, who am i talking to?" He looked around, seeing as he was the only pony sitting there. "These 2 years better be worth it." he mumbled to himself.

"No problem," Blitz said, smiling. She lay down near Peregrine. Socks curled up beside her. She looked out the tent flaps.

It was getting late. Stars were beginning to show in the night sky. She was getting tired. She prayed Glider would be back soon-- and prayed she and Guy-Manuel weren't up to anything.

She glanced at Spellbind. With Aspen gone, they had room in the tent. "You can stay here for the night, if you like," she said, and poked her head outside to Sharp to say the same. She didn't say the same to Cuddly under the assumption he was staying.

Spellbind felt quite relieved. This was another pony who was in favour of her staying with them in the tent. Spellbind probably would have turned it down so as not to be a bother, but these ponies seemed genuinely okay with it. "Thank you, I shall take up on that offer."

William went back to his tent, he looked at his map, thinking about how big or small or anything this island was! He set it to the side and set down his fez right next to it and tried to sleep, but he couldn't, there was something he felt he forgot to do, but he just ignores it and tries to sleep.
