Sky fell over on his bed, exhausted after finishing construction on his cloud home today. The last two weeks had been wild, when he first arrived on the island he took his minimal luggage and immediately separated from the rest of the group. He found a high place and began constructing his house. Also during those two weeks he gathered some fruits and mapped some of the surrounding area. And now he found himself here on his bed, resting.

After resting for a bit Sky got up and flew up on the roof of his house. He looked out over the jungle. Out here he felt he could truly start over after...what happend. He decided to go exploring a bit and went back inside to gather some supplies. He then quickly flew down to the jungle and set off.

It seemed like forever since Aspen Swift had seen the ocean.  The endlessly stretching blue and green water churned and rolled, with small waves washing gently over the beach.  The day was hot but the wind was very calm, washing over Aspen like a warm bath.  He hurried to catch up with Ocean Moon, who was trotting down the beach.

“So, what do you think that the town will look like now?” asked Aspen.

She shrugged.  “I don’t know, but I hope they’ve started to build at least a little bit.  I’m not sure those tents would last if a rainstorm hit.”

Aspen shrugged.  “I’ve bet that things haven’t changed much.  It’s hard to get adjusted to new terrain like this, and I’m betting that the settlers are just trying to get their bearings.  I’m glad we’ve made that map, though, it might ease some fears that spring up.”

Ocean shook her head.  “Don’t feel too safe.  Remember the fence we found.”

“Oh yeah, I forgot about that.”  Aspen suddenly remembered the tall wooden fence they had found on the sixth day.  It was made from sharpened logs, and stretched for a long ways without an entrance.  They didn’t try to cross it, as they didn’t know what could be on the other side, but they listened and heard low voices on the other side.  Something definitely lived there.  Friendly?  Hopefully, but not for sure.  They had marked it on the map.

“Speaking of the map,” said Ocean, “Do you still have it?”

He shook his head.  “No, Travel Hooves was making a couple of finishing touches on it.” Aspen looked back to see how the rest of the crew was doing.  They were continuing at a slower pace, but still not far behind.

They continued down the beach.  “So, what do you think made that fence?” asked Aspen as they trotted along.

“Well, I have some theories,” said Ocean, “I’m imagining that it’s probably another race.  It’s unlikely that we were the first visitors here.  Maybe other ponies, maybe something else, like some zebras.  That would be okay; I lived close to some Zebras back in Equestria.”

“Well, whatever made it, I really hope it’s friendly.” Said Aspen as they turned a corner of the beach.

Suddenly, the lagoon spread out in front of them.  The five ships were visible in the distance; grey sails gently waving in the breeze.  However, on the shore, was a picture that Aspen could never had imagined.

Gone were the multicolored tents and stacked up storage crates.  Instead, many trees had been cleared from the jungle, exposing the soil that could be built upon.  And build they did.

What seemed to be a main road ran parallel to the beach, while still skirting the sand.  It wasn’t cobbled yet, but seemed to be carved into the ground and filled with bits of rock and gravel.  Along the road lay many wooden houses.  Though were wooden, they definitely could not be classified as shacks.  Some were multi-level, and decorative touches were added.  Others even incorporated stone and other building materials.  One house even seemed to be partially built with clay.  They all seemed sturdy and safe.  Many ponies bustled around the main road, going from building to building.  It seemed that even shops were being set up in the homes, and on the beach there were wooden stalls for selling and buying.

Aspen took the moment to look around before he turned to Ocean.  “Did you expect it to be this…civilized?”

She shook her head in amazement.  “Not at all.  This is…crazy.”

They took another moment to absorb the reality of the situation.  They were both active members of what was now a thriving, vibrant community.

“If these ponies can do this much in two weeks, imagine what they could do in a month!  Or even a year!”

They were just about to make their way downtown when the heard a crash overhead.  Aspen and Ocean looked up just in time to see a blue pegasus crash right into a tree branch and fall onto the ground.

"Uh, My head," Night Tracer groaned. He slowly lifted his head from the ground and opened his eyes. He saw the two ponies he'd been watching, but this time much closer than before; he let out a small chuckle, "Hey guys." he beamed brightly.

Aspen looked at Ocean.  She shrugged.  He turned back to the stallion.

“Um, hi, there.” said Aspen.  “Are you okay?  That fall seemed pretty nasty.”

@@AspenSwift,

He peered up at them still laying flat on his back, then he flipped over and pushed himself up. He spun around and checked himself out, "Yeah, I think I'm fine," he turned behind him and saw his left wing was bent and he scowered at the grusome image. He pulled down on his wong and it snapped back up and into place, "Aw Buck," he whined and then turned back to Aspen and Ocean.

"Mind if I walk with you guys," he asked and jumped in between the two and smiled brightly, "I apologize if I hadn't introduced myself on the ship over... it was sort of a rough time for me but, I'm Night Tracer. He looked to his left, Ocean, I presume, then to his right, Aspen?" he asked in confirmation and patiently waited for a response.

Sky slowly made his way through the dense foliage of the jungle taking periodic rest stops as needed. He was just about to leave the boundaries of his map and enter new territory, new to him at least. He continued forward and slowed when he came to the edge of the map. He looked around and continued forward.

He decided to fly above the trees and get a better look at his new surroundings. He saw the beach where the boats had landed in the distance. He was shocked to see that the other ponies had already constructed a small settlement and community. He then returned to the forest floor and continued to trot in the direction he was previously going I'm which he had seen a beach with some other ponies on it. This could be his chance...

Aspen smiled.  "Oh, I thought I recognized you from somewhere!  Of course you can walk back with us."

The three trotted along, progressively getting closer to the main town.  The sun washed over them as they drew nearer, and it seemed that it was about mid-afternoon.

"So," said Aspen, "what have you been up to so far?  If I remember right, you are a...writer.  Right?"

He smiled at Aspen happily, "Yeah, I am. So far I've actually been working all this time, so that's the primary reason as to why you haven't seen me," he rubbed the back of his neck, "I got a bit ambitious and went out on my own."

"So, why were you two sent out here?" he inquired, then faced Aspen, "you're leading, right?'

Travel followed the rest of the group back home. During the walk to the little "town"? He didn't know what to call it so he guessed it would be a town, he pulled out a little bag labeled 'LUNCH'. All that was in the bag was a dandelion sandwich and a bunch (like seriously, a lot) of gummy candys, he starts eating the candies as they were walking towards the town. "I wonder how much the new town has progressed... They should build a doughnut shop... I like doughnuts." He said to himself.

Sky flew up above the trees once more and sped up his arrival on the beach. As he flew he noticed that there were many more ponies than he had first noticed. He decided to land by a smaller group of just three. He did a dive and quickly leveled out he then landed next to the three ponies. "Hello, I am Sky Streak, who are you, if I may ask?"

The three started making their way to town.

"So, why were you two sent out here?" said the blue pegasus, facing Aspen, "you're leading, right?"

Aspen shook his head.  "Nope, it's Ocean here who was leading the exposition."  He motioned his head towards her.  "I was just here for moral support."

Ocean spoke up.  "We were doing some research and exploration around the island.  Did you find anything interesting around the island?"

Suddenly, something flew over Aspen's head.  He looked up and saw another pegasus.  The stallion landed in front of them.

"Hello, I am Sky Streak.  Who are you, if I may ask?"

Aspen turned to Ocean.  "Huh, guess we're pretty popular today."  He turned back to the large stallion.  "Well, I'm Aspen Swift, and this is Ocean Moon and...Night Tracer, if I'm correct.  We were just making our way back to the town.  Care to join us?"

William noticed the second Pegasus fall from the sky "Sweet Celestia! Its raining Pegasi!" William said jokingly. He took a bite of his sandwich "Hmm, i wonder if they have any jelly..." he mumbled to himself, Wondering if any of the new fruits and vegetables are delicious, what if they are poison? He would be disappointed if they were all poisonous or non-edible, he came here to see new towns rise to become famous tourist spots, which is a once in a life time opportunity, also he wanted to taste the new foods. It would be a shame if he came here nothing!

@@Reaver,

(Aprox. 2 weeks ago)

On his way to get food, Guy-Man got distracted by something sparkling in the forest and trotted towards it to see what it was. It was a beautiful sapphire, but why was it just sitting on the ground. 'I'll get this for Glider,' he thought, picking it up and putting it in his bag. Looking around, he realized he had gotten lost! He eventually found a large, beautiful clearing near a waterfall with a river flowing from it and made a shoddy tent of leaves.

(Present)

After spending nearly 2 weeks in the forest, Guy-Man finally found his way out and made it back to camp, although you could hardly call it that anymore, there was an actual road and buildings had been set up properly. He thought 'That clearing would make for a nice location for a home, there's plenty of room, heck, I could make a mansion! I'll take Glider there and show her, it's so pretty, I bet she'd like it' realizing that he hadn't seen her in 2 weeks, he ran around town looking for her.

@@Jellal Fernandes, (Yay, you're back!)

-Two Weeks Before-

Glider had found the food and had gotten it for free, because the cook had been ridiculously nice, if somewhat frazzled. She sat with a full belly, but with a worried mind. She hadn't seen Guy-Man... she could've sworn he'd been right behind her when she'd left the trees! She'd been so hungry, she'd just not paid attention.

She yawned, still staring at the forest. He'll come out... probably... soon... she curled up under a tree to wait for him. Sharp blades of grass tickled her side, but she ignored them, and despite herself, was soon asleep.

-Present-

Glider had been flying alongside the forest for about half an hour now, after she'd woken up. The past two weeks she had gone through this as a routine, and Guy-Man still hadn't returned. She was getting more and more worried with each passing day, and would have thought that entire night's events to have been a dream had Blitz not been there, and assured her otherwise.

She missed him. She had  hardly gotten to know him, and it just wasn't fair. I can't believe I let him wander off alone... she chided herself, for the umpteenth time. I can't believe I was so careless. I can't believe--she stopped thinking as she saw a familiar pegasus that had been haunting her daydreams, galloping through town, looking frazzled, worried, and very much alive and healthy.

The wind grew as she burst forward, towards Guy-Man, and she flapped her wings expertly to make the distance all the shorter. "Guy-Man! Guy-Man!" she cried, not taking her eyes off him, half worried that he was a mirage. She landed beside him in the town. "Guy-Man... where were you? What happened? I'm so sorry, I thought you were right behind me..." she said, her eyes beginning to grow wet as she looked him over. "I just... oh," she moved forward and hugged him tightly. "I was so worried you were gone forever, when I'd only just met you," she added quietly.

Guy-Man smiled at Glider, she obviously cared about him, and it was nice that someone did. "I saw something in the woods that distracted me, and I went to check it out, I thought I would be right back out but it must have been further than I thought, because I got lost. I'm fine," he paused when she hugged him and blushed a bit, then hugged her back. "I'm sorry that I worried you..." he said. "If you're not too busy, there's something I wanted to show you."

Glider looked at the clearing. She walked into it, words dying on her muzzle. The grass was gentle on her hooves, and the breeze rustled gently, independent of any weather pony--while this was true of the whole island, it was somehow clearer here. Trees dotted the area, and the sun's shining patterned the ground through their shadows.

"It's... It's beautiful," Glider told Guy-Man, her tone careless at her awe. "I... tell me about the house," she added, sitting down beside him, looking at him with a wide smile on her face.

"Well, it would be a big house and a big project, one that wouldn't benefit really anypony but me, and anypony who decided to live with me for some reason... But it would be at least 2 stories, having 8 white limestone columns on the front porch, 4 on each side in squares, supporting a slate roof. It would be a sort of T-shape, with the front porch being the top center of the T. The atrium would have a tan limestone floor with sea shells in it, while the rest of the house would have maple flooring... I'm sorry, I feel like this must be boring you..." Guy-Man abruptly said.

Night Tracer put his hoof to his chin and thought, but before he could respond to Ocean's question another pony came into view. Night Tracer looked over head and watched as the stallion landed in front of him.

As Aspen introduced Night Tracer, he nodded. Making himself known, in addition to reassuring Aspen in his thoughts.  Aspen offered the stallion to join them, Night Tracer embraced the offer, "Yeah, I may not be in much of a position myself to say so, but you should walk with us."
