  2. A yellow stallion with a jet black mane trotted through the Bangcolt streets, the quintessence of smug stretched ear to ear on his face. Rumbling emitted from his stomach, and he groaned. "A bit fifty hayburger be my saving grace," he mumbled. He was greeted with a bell's chime as he entered Bangcolt's finest: Haydonald's. The smell of raunchy, frozen meat tempted his stomach and repulsed his taste buds. He closed his eyes and took a deep whiff, "mediocrity, where have you been today?" He didn't keep his eyes closed for long as they flashed open at the sound of a Steve Hoofschemi type character being a dick to two foals minding their business. He inched up to him and politely tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey, bud. I know you're trying to be cool and all, you know, being an asshole to likely homeless children, but could you uh, I don't know, bully some other kids? My stomach's got a hankering for high cholestrol and late night epiphanies about my weight so... if you could just, uh, step to the side or something, and maybe let these kids order and move things along a bit--yeah, that would be great."

  9. @@Fractured, Night Tracer remained still as Talon concentrated. Silence. Night was getting uncomfortable; Talon's claws were clutching a little to hard for comfort, and Night was getting restless. His wings ached. He smirked, then closed his eyes, resting his head back on his pillow. Suddenly, his wings spread out like parachutes, swatting Talon off him and over the side of the bed. His wings stiffened, and as quickly as they did, they softened. With a bird-like shuffle he fluttered his wings, and they returned to their resting state as he nestled deeper into his pillow. "Oops," he said dryly, opening his eyes, meeting Luna's, "must have looked at you for too long." He grinned devlishly, then shut his eyes once more, smirk still plastered across his maw.

  11. @@Fractured, Night's weary marbles rolled to the corner of his eyes, then rested back on the wall. He blinked, and yawned. "Well do whatever it is you're going to do." he said, and closed his eyes again. Then he chuckled. "So is that a no on the skin boots? I used to skin reptiles all the time up North."
  12. @@Fractured, Night Tracer ruflled underneath his covers. His forehead tensed, and he groaned, hearing soft whsipers around him, one he could barely make out, the other was foreign. He cracked a crusty eye lid open so he could see a thin slit of the outside world, then he closed his eyes again. "Stop it," he grumbled unconsciously, "they'll find--" he stopped, and turned over to his side. He nuzzled the pillow, then sighed, his eyes popping open. "What's with the reptile?" he asked, his blurry orbs unmoving from the far wall, "we makin' skin boots or something?"
  13. @, Rainbow Dash's head slammed onto the bar counter with a thud. "Ugh...!" Applejack looked down at her, and cocked a brow as she cleaned out a cider mug. "Sugarcube. Ah don't know what else ah can do ta help--and before ya ask. No ya can't have another shot." Rainbow Dash groaned, and banged her hooves on the counter. Applejack casually rolled her eyes and returned to her half-clean out mug. "Have ya tried talkin' to him?" Rainbow peered at Applejack out of the corner of her eye, unremoving her forehead from the counter. "No." She sighed. "It's against protocol." "Ah'm sorry, Rainbows." She grinned. "Ehck. Don't call me that," she said, her tongue slipping out her mouth in disgust. "Oh well. At least Zephyr's available." Rainbow raised from her slumped stance and glared at the orange mare. "Not helping."
  14. @@Fractured, Night Tracer opened his mouth in question, but then snapped it shut, deciding--as much as he felt he needed to--it was best not to question Luna right now. "Just do me one favor?" he requested, his eyes moving from the floor to hers. "Be careful," he stared at the ground once more. "Also," he sheepishly asked, "I need somewhere to sleep." A smile crept across his face nervously, hoping for a sliver of something in return.
  15. @@Fractured, He frowned, disappointed, but he couldn't blame her for how she reacted. He started, yes. I always thought she was a story book tale. But she's real, Nightmare Moon." He closed his eyes to picture her. "'I am the darkness in Luna's heart brought to life. The bringer of Eternal Night. I am Nightmare Moon... and I, am tired.'" He opened his eyes, a coldness once again filling him. "Heh. A little surprised I remember that one myself. She begged me to go, threatened me, then said I threatened you, and I had no choice." Weakness controlled his tone. "She's a sad mare, or entity not quite sure which one, pretty sure just a dark cloud of somehow conscious thought, but I don't know how that even works. Maybe I should have paid better attention in the biology class I didn't have because I lived in a forest...right..." He caught himself rambling, and awkwardly eyed Luna. "Anything I can do...specifically?"
  16. @@Fractured, He hung his head, like a dissappointed mut; he closed his eyes and sighed. Then, shook his head vigorously, like he was trying to get water out of his ears. He turned, facing her and hugged her. "You're not the feeling type, I know, but I've wanted to do this for so long." He hoped she wouldn't flick him off like a flea, well aware she had all the power to do so. He laid his head over her neck, and sighed, "I know. My words are...empty. But, in time. May my actions for you speak who I am." He blinked. "I really messed up. And I know it's going to take time to fix, and I don't advocate the despicable thing I did, but are you mad?" he asked, concern in his voice. "You have every right to be, and in no way am I okay or do I expect you to be but..." He smiled tiredly. "I'm happy to see you again. Can you...at all say the same? Or, smile? I liked it when you smiled." He yawned, resting hsi head around her neck, eyeing her face, just so he could see if any of it moved. He kept his weak grin, hoping for one of her own.
  17. @@Fractured, Quickly, he grabbed one of her forelegs as she passed, and made her look him in the eye, "it's nothing like you think. I'm sorry I left. I really am. And I know I can't make up for it. It's been six damn months, and I disappeared, but please don't make me pay for my mistake." He stepped closer, a heaviness in his eyes as they pleaded like a puppy. "Luna, the star flickered, but it never fell. It left, but it returned... brighter, and not for itself, but to give it all back to the moon." His gaze rolled to the floor and he blinked, vibrations coursing through him as he held her hoof. his legs were wobbly, and his throat tight as he choked over his ramblings. "I didn't know what to do, and I didn't want to hurt you, she said if I stayed that I'd hurt you. Just like every other stallion before, and I know I'm different. I told you I am my own, and I am. Always will be, but could I run the risk of hurting you?" he asked, his voice thin. "I was a coward," he admitted, eyes fixed on the floor. "But I didn't run for me, know I ran for you. I'm a blubbering mess, but you've never left my mind. When Nightmare Moon told me you would be broken if I stayed I couldn't imagine you." He lifted his eyes to hers, stepping closer to her. "You're beautiful. Strong. Passionate, and call me selfish, but I wasn't worried about Equestria's fate, but yours." He stopped. A few moments passed. "I'm scared, Luna. I was so scared I'd hurt you, and now I'm scared I'm going to lose you. In a life where all I've ever been is alone. I don't want to be alone--no, I don't want you to be alone. "I left you... alone. And... I know how that feels, actually..." he trailed off, then took a deep breath, "believe me, I-I know how it feels." He closed his eyes and shuddered, and cold tingling coursed up his back. He reopened his eyes, transfixed on hers. He stared. His neck tensed. His blood rushed, and he felt for the disappearing ground as a sense of weightlessness filled him. He fell forward, and caught himself around her neck, panting. He squeezed tight, and shoved his maw into the base of neck. Muffled, he spoke, "I was so worried about hurting you... that I didn't stop to think that if I left you alone, I'd do just that." He sobbed. Unable to face her. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry." He hugged her tighter. "Accept me or not, you have all my shine. And I know it'll never be enough, but it's all I have." He stared just over her back, mindlessly. A relief overcoming him, but he still shook. "I'll never leave you alone," he whispered, "please forgive me."
