Experimental Luna Shadowbox

Hello all!

 

So me and @Nervous Stitch got together to try something new awhile ago. We've been looking into pooling our (admittedly rather different) talents and resources into newer stuff we can work on together. While we're still working out the details, we went ahead and tried creating a shadowbox of sorts to start with. 

 

I originally did the design and vector, while she did the bulk of cutting and assembly of the actual physical piece you see below.  I hope we'll have more to add in the future, but for now, this is what we have.

 

 

It wound up a little crooked, but I kinda blame the fact that we made our first venture on a rather delicate piece cut from spare materials Stitch had around her craft corner.   About half an inch of the design even got clipped off entirely because of a paper sizing issue.

 

It's also not the most like... dynamic in terms of layers (my picture doesn't show the black lines and body being lifted off the glitter background as well as I'd like, which makes it a little worse too, haha), but I think it was a good first venture all things considered.  :grin2: Hopefully the next one will be better executed.

@@JonasDarkmane, thanks, haha. It could've turned out a little better, but me and Stitch learned a decent bit from it I believe.

Pic is a little hard to see, but it's a great piece, man.  The eye really stands out in all those lovely dark blues and purples.
