SFyr 1,982 June 24, 2015 Share June 24, 2015 I would start with studying MLP pony anatomy, gestures, and overall proportions. Currently I think you lack a bit of foundation of how different body parts are shaped, as they have more of a line and ball kind of look to them. Not to be discouraging, but if you're looking for constructive criticism, I recommend going to the basics of shape and anatomy for ponies, and learning to understand and experiment with that well. Also, if your tablet feels awkward, I've heard recommendations of using it to play games, like solitare and such so you get comfortable using it for your computer. Beyond that, probably attempt some pressure-sensitive programs/brushes when you're ready, so you can get some more expressive linework. --> Though, if this is a concept you have issues with, practicing the RL counterpart is very useful. StrawberryKitty 382 June 25, 2015 Share June 25, 2015 Try looking at another pony picture and then drawing it as exact as you can get it. When i first got my tablet doing that helped me get a feel for the tablet and also learning anatomy. You could also use reference pictures while drawing. It helps you learn new positions to draw in and more.
