It is the 33rd Millenium.

The Emperor of Ponykind has been re-united with all 20 Primarchs, (I mean 18) and all 18 legions are spreading the Emperor's wish of Friendship, love and tolerance throughout the galaxy, crushing the resistance of those who stand by hatred, and those who simply refuse to adapt. It is a golden age, an age of legend, an age of heroes. Currently, the Ullanor campaign against the foul war-loving greenskins (Let's transpose these to centaurs like Tirek) is wrapping up. Horsus (Horus Lupercal) and his XVI Legion, the Luna Wolves have totally crushed the greenskin empire. The Emperor holds the celebration of the Ullanor Triumph, in which Horsus is appointed as the Warmaster, that is he has been appointed over all 18 (remember, the Alpha Legion has Alpharius and Omegon, the twin primarchs) fellow primarchs. As expected, not all primarchs are on board with this, however, they accept it.

After Ullanor the legions once more depart and spread out and resume their campaigns of compliance.

Rules:

Alicorn OC's are strictly forbidden. There will only be 21 Alicorns, The Primarchs, The Emperor, and Malcador. Or the senior staff of the Thousand Sons, as well as their assault cadre. The Thousand sons only have 9 Fellowships, so There will only be 27 Extra Alicorns allowed.

Unicorns and Earth Ponies will make up the bulk of the forces.

Unicorns will also represent the Librarian corps of the Adeptus Astartes, because unicorns have magic.

Earth Ponies will be the Only Ponies capable of being Centurion or Devastator qualified, due to their strength.

Pegasi will be assigned as assault marines or raptors, dependant on alignment to order.

Fluff rules apply. I don't give a darn about your 1D6 ST 6 AP 3 Assault Cannon armed terminator. You are not going to have a lucky roll and kill a Baneblade. What I mean by fluff rules apply is imagination is the limiting factor. Your assault cannon can kill a baneblade if you use it the right way. I.E, Manage to get a salvo into the battle cannon striking the shell in the breach.

Knowledge of WH40k Is not required. Just check out the Warhammer Wiki. www.warhammer40k.wika.com

This more than likely will not follow the HH series in chronological or event order. Depending on your RPing, it might not even happen. Who knows, Horsus might be redeemed, and another of the Primarchs will fall to chaos. Maybe none of them, maybe all of them.

I need at a minimum 10 RPers to kick this thing off.

Feel free to rename your primarch as suits you. Nothing too crazy, like Don't rename Lion El Jonson as Buttercup McFairies.

Open Primarch list:

I Legion Dark Angels

II Legion (Lost to the Imperium and damned in the Emperor's Eyes)

III Legion Emperor's Children. (Side note, think Rarity if you are playing as Foalgrim)

IV Legion Iron Warriors

V Legion White Scars

---------PRIMARCH ASSIGNED TO REAVER----------

First Captain Still open. Equerry still open.

VI Legion Space Wolves (Extremely Melee focused, probably best for Pegasus OC's)

VII Legion Imperial Fists

VIII Legion Night Lords

IX Legion Blood Angels (Once more assault heavy. Side note, Sanguinius has wings, so will accept regular Pegasus as battle brothers)

X Legion Iron Hands

XI Legion (Lost to the Imperium and damned in the Emperor's Eyes.

XII Legion World Eaters (Same as Space Wolves, however, if they do fall to chaos, Unicorns will not be able to use their magic, as the Blood God hates magic)

XIII Legion Ultramarines

XIV Legion Death Guard (Immune to Poison, by sheer nature of their homeworld)

XV Legion Thousand Sons (This is where things get weird, this is a Unicorn only chapter, due to every battle brother in the legion being a psyker in canon)

XVi Legion Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus

XVII Legion Word Bearers

XVIII Legion Salamanders

XIX Legion Raven Guard

XX Legion Alpha Legion (Remember, Two Primarchs in this legion).

I don't need OC threads, just make one up on the fly, as your OC's will be in Marks 2 - 5 Power armor for the majority.

Combat: Due to the age, the mainstay weaponry will be Bolters (An assault rifle that fires explosive penetrator rounds), Bolt Pistols( Exact same as bolter, just bigger round, does more damage), Chain weaponry (If it exists in real life, add a chainsaw effect to it), Power weapons, (Swords, Axes, Maces)  Power Fists, (Regular and Terminator variants) Plasma Rifles and Pistols and flamers .

Devastators will have Heavy Bolters, Lascannons, and Plasma cannons to choose from. Keep in mind, Lascannons are not rapid fire nor are Plasma cannons.

Terminators. Oh boy, Due to the era, all conventional Imperial weaponry is available. This includes regular SM gear, Combi bolters, (a Twinbolter with an attached extra weapon, i.e flamer, melta gun, plasma), the Reaper Autocannon, The Assault Cannon, Thunder Hammers, Storm Shields, Chainfists (Powerfist with a chainblade attached underneath) and lastly the Cyclone missile launcher.

Assault will be Pegasus armed with either a bolt pistol and chainsword, or a plasma pistol. They can choose a chainsword, power sword, power fist, chain axe, power axe. Assault Sergeants can take power claws or storm shields. World Eaters carry 2 handed Chain axes as an option, that are capable of cutting open armored vehicles.

This goes without saying, but if you're in, Post below.

Hell, I'll even open up the Eldar and what not if you guys are interested, it's going to be interesting incorporating them into pony Lore.

Tyranids are obviously changelings.

----FURTHER EDIT------

To help out some of our fans who are in the dark, I will break down the class list and the different types of capabilities that they possess.

First and foremost, all space marines do not possess the sensation of fear. They do not know what it is. They do know caution, and they know senseless waste. For example, if a Titan comes onto the field, the SM's will immediately break contact and find a better way to fight it. Except for the First legion, as they do not know what retreat means, and are not capable of it.

The Space Marines:

Primarchs: Primarchs are the epitome of Pony development, created by the emperor from her own genes. Each of the twenty primarchs is a fraction of the Emperor's personality and psyche. The only thing capable of killing a primarch is a primarch.

First Captains: Space Marine Pony's who have showed the highest tactical competency and warrior spirit are selected to serve as the first captain of their legion. That is to say, they are the number 2 pony in the legion. They have access to pure Artificer gear, which means it is darn near indestructible and darn near unbreakable. Due to them being peerless warriors and strategists, they have the right to participate in whatever battles they choose, except for the XVI legion, due to it's Speartip tactic, in which the captains draw straws to see who will go in first out of four companies.

Captains: Space marine ponies who have demonstrated remarkable tactical prowess, or in the case of the more ancient Space Marines have simply survived and were the only choice for their company. Notable examples are Iacton Cruze of the Luna Wolves, and Battle Captain Garro of the Death Guard.

Venerable Captains cannot fall to chaos due to their participation in the early stages of the crusade, and are loyal to the Emperor and Emperor alone.

Sergeants: The get it done SM Ponies. Hand picked by the primarchs in their legion at the word of their captains. They are usually in charge of a ten to twelve marine squad of ponies, named after them. Armed with whatever they choose to bring.

Tactical Space Marines: The Tactical squads, identified by the <--> Marking on their right pauldron are the most common type of Space Marines in a legion. They are formed into ten to twelve strong squads, unless their commander states otherwise. in a ten man squad, six will have bolters, and three will be weapon specialists. The specialists can choose from a Missile Launcher, a Plasma Rifle, a Flamer, or Stalker pattern bolter. (Basically a DMR type bolter.) All Space Marines during the great crusade carry a melee weapon, typically a glaive or a short bladed chainsword, along with their combat knives, which double as bayonets for their bolters.

Devastators: Having slightly stronger armor than their tactical brethren, the devastators are the heavy weapon specialists of the legions. Armed with Heavy Bolters, (Basically a machine gun firing 1 inch diameter bolts, compared to the .75 caliber bolters carried by the tactical guys.) Lascannons, (It's basically a really big laser that shoots a super tight focused laser beam designed to kill armored targets, Plasma Cannons, (It's a big plasma gun, that shoots an explosive stream of plasma that has the power of a miniature sun. Will cut through any armor and if it hits any infantry, will burn through it, even terminators.) and the Autocannon. Autocannons of the era are basically extremely large bolters, firing 2 inch diameter bolts at a slower rate of fire than a heavy bolter. Lethal to light vehicles and massed infantry.

Assault Marines: Designed to get up close an personal with their enemy. Assault marines soar on their wings and are the rapid speed hard hitting troops designed to break enemy morale, lines and defensive positions. Assault marines will have one melee weapon, being a chainsword, chain axe or their power field variant, as well as a bolt pistol and melta-bombs( magnetic grenades that literally melt armor.) Mostly encountered in Mark III iron due to it's heavier armored torso.

Specialized formations:

Bike squads. The Astartes attack bikes have three variants (Until the 37th millennia when the last jet bikes break down except for the Dark Angels). Standard, Assault, and Jet. Standard bikes have two bolters mounted to the handlebars, and are employed as flank security, fast assault, or fast recon. Assault bikes are used for when speed and raw firepower are necessary, due to their twin heavy bolters mounted to the front, as well as a sidecar mounted assault cannon. (probably not right, but I don't care.) Jet bikes are armed with the standard bolters, and are the same as regular bikes except that they have anti-grav engines, and are 4 times as fast. Only the best handlers and the most insane legionnares will ride these. (Rainbow Dash?)

Land Speeders: 2 Man hovercraft that carries a heavy bolter and an assault cannon. Usually used in conjunction with the bikes to add their overwhelming firepower to support them. Some chapters have 3 man variants in which another pintle mounted weapon is added, be it storm bolter, or lascannon.

Land Raiders: The armored fist of the space marines. Capable of transporting 14 fully armored tactical marines or 5 Terminators, these things are massive in size, and possess firepower to match. At the time of the crusade there are only two variants, the Infantry support Redeemer, and the Mars Pattern Land Raider. Redeemers carry Mega-flamers on side mounted sponsons designed to clear fortifications and bunkers, whereas the Mars possess twin linked lascannons. All Land raiders have a twin linked assault cannon In the front as well as a multi melta for close anti vehicle firepower.

You sir just earned yourself a VIP pass to the living legend. The beautiful thing about this RP is, it requires zero knowledge of the warhammer universe. All you really need to know is, guns shoot, lasers burn, and SPEHS MEHREENS. PM me if you want more of a breakdown so I can explain what exactly I'm accomplishing here.

Again, NO OC's are required, if you want to bring one, that's fine, just post what you want to do. I'll make a more detailed edit above to break down the different types of Adeptus Astartes Ponies.
