Which of the Mane 5 are most suited to become an Alicorn Princess?

None of them, really. Twilight was specially trained for it and none of the mane 6 seems capable of upholding the responsibility of a princess.

Really? I don't see at all how Twilight has become such a flat character like some people describe her.

I've only see that there's less focus on her, but she becoming flat? That's a NOPE  . Hopefuly, this next episode rectify it

She's morally perfect---utterly incapable of doing any wrong. 

 

Not sure if that would qualify as her being "flat" or not, but if I had to guess, that's what they'd be referring to.

There are already 4 princesses. At some point your going to run into the problem of too many chiefs and not enough indians.

 

But to play along with the hypothetical question, lets look at the options.

 

Fluttershy - If you remember back in Winter Wrap Up, she was not given the leader position of her animal tending team. I think this speaks to her lack of potential leadership abilities. She is too timid and just doesn't have what it takes to take command of a situation.

 

Rainbow Dash - She is the leader of the Ponyville weather team so she has leadership potential. But, she is not levelheaded enough and is too prone to impulsiveness to be an effective ruler.

 

Rarity - We saw how she acted in Sonic Rainboom when she got temporary wings. She could be a decent leader if it wasn't for her narcissistic personality flaw.

 

Pinkie - Despite her silliness, I could see her being an OK ruler. She's overly childish at times but her heart is always in the right place and she's much smarter than she sometimes seems. She would be my second choice.

 

Applejack - In Twilight's absence, more often than not, it is AJ that rallies the remain 5 and takes charge. She is very levelheaded and is a practical thinker. She runs her families business so she has leadership abilities. Applejack is my choice for alicorn princess number 5. I cringe just typing that.
