In my opinion, I think that putting Make Your Mark on television could have helped/saved Generation 5 of MLP...Maybe.

I mean depending on how well putting the older stuff on it works, maybe YouTube should be where new/current shows are viewed.  It's as popular as the basic non-cable networks like Fox were and it would make supporting any new favorites easy by viewing, liking and sharing the links.😁

The more I think about it the more I wonder if a lack of likes on the Tell Your Tale videos made Hasbro decide that Generation 5 was done before it was finished.

I know nothing about Transformers but it seems like Hasbro has a genuinely good movie on their hands that’s underperforming because they can’t even advertise for it correctly. It seriously feels like Hasbro just hates their own brands and IPs sometimes.

It being Netflix exclusive definitely didn’t help. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6 was Netflix exclusive as well and there was a huge uproar in that community over it. I genuinely think it killed some of the hype for the show because you just didn’t see as many discussions about Part 6 as you did the previous parts despite it being equal or even better in quality imo. So there’s definitely precedent for Netflix exclusivity harming otherwise good shows.
