gaming Should the original Pokemon box art be brought back in new gen games?

Back when Pokemon was first introduced, the boxes had art showing the final evolutions of the starters Pokemon that you got at the beginning of your adventure. Charizardfor Pokemon Red, Blastoise for Pokemon Blue. And neither a final evolution form from a starter, nor a legendary, but Pikachu, for Pokemon Yellow.

 

Fire Red and Leaf Green brought back the box art final forms of the starters, but every gen since RBY and after FRLG have shown off the legendaries of the games. Lugia, Ho-Oh, Dialga, Palkia, Suicune, Groudon, Kyogre, ect, etc.....

 

Should Pokemon games once again have box art featuring the final evolutions of the starters? Would you find it refreshing to have the legendaries out of the spoiler spotlight?

 

Should final forms of the starters always have been on the boxes and cartridge art, since the starter is the primary Pokemon that you start with, and likely end with, as you beat the game? (And legendaries come much later in gameplay)

Well, it's not exactly fair on the starters because you could only get two of them on the boxes. The leftover starter will always feel like the least important. I think having a legendary on the box gives them a fair bit of gravitas and gives you something to look forward too as long as there's another 'bigger' legendary to get a bit more mystery through the game.

The appearances of the legendary Pokemon help me decide which version to buy.  I can choose any of the three starters in either version, but I'm stuck with this or that legendary.  So I would rather they kept things as they are.

The legendaries help me to decide which legendary i want. For X and Y i wanted Xeneis and for Alpha Saphire and Omega Ruby i wantedASbecause i love water and Kyoger is a water legendary so decission finalized. They do have the starters on the game case too not the final evolution or anything but the baby version you love so much. It's a win win and uneeding of change.
