Star eyed the knife curiously. He had just stepped over it when the other pony had pointed it out. Curious, he looked behind him, noticed his tail having been cutt roughly. "Yeah, no blood. Just hair." He said, pulling out a knife of his own to make the cut at least even as he continued to walk down the hall, glancing at the ceiling as he put his knife back in his coat pocket.

Out of the corner of his eye, Thrillseeker could see the shadows and the knife dropping to the ground. He didn't want to believe what could be after the ponies in the house but he had no other choice "Well, that was a close shave," Thrillseeker told Star, weakly laughing at his pun. As Star and Diamond continued down the hall, both armed with knives, Thrilseeker brought up the rear, looking for something to defend himself with. On a nightable, he noticed a candlestick and hovered towards it, grabbing it with his hooves. I'll be ready this time, he thought.

The ponies came to a paint where they could go three ways. One way had a dripping cound, another had a creeking sound, and the last one was completely dilent, with a small light burning at the end of it. The shadows had gone, and the lightning could barely light up anything here.

Star looked down the three hallways, listening to the various sounds. "We should meet up back here in a while. Maybe, 15 minutes or so. Im going this way." He said, going towards the dripping noise. "And i prefer that I go alone." He said over his shoulder just in case anypony follwed him. As he walked down the hall, the noises got louder, putting him a little on edge.

Thrillseeker hovered near the door where Star entered and turned back to face the group. "He sure doesn't take no for an answer, does he?" the tan pegasus asked before going on. "I was going to say we should check out this door. Maybe we can see what this light's all about. I'm getting tired of just finding my way through with lightning."

As the ponies split up, a last flash of lightning lit up the main hall, but not the halls they were going into. The light seemed to move further down the hallway as it was being approached, while the dripping stayed in the same place, as if it was caused by an inanimate object.

"Looks like I got the creeking cound, Just fine." Diamond said a bit troubled. She didn't mind being alone, in fact she was alone most of the time back in cloudsale. However in a place like this she would have killed for some company. "Hopefully it won't be as bad as I imagine" Diamond said continuing on to the next room.

The light at the end of the hallway piqued Thrillseeker 's curiosity. The further he went, the dimmer it got. He flew a bit faster, his hooves still resting on the candlestick as he struggled to keep up with the light. He never even bothered to see if any ponies were following him, ignoring his own policy of not getting separated from the group.

Unfortunately Thrillseeker got seperated. Nopony had followed him all the way through, and now the dimm light was gone aswell.

 

As Diamond stepped into the room a light went on and a skull with a knife in it's mouth, ponting at her was racing towards her head.

Star kept walking until it sounded like the dripping was a few feet front of him. He heard thunder roll outside, but nothing else but the constant drip, drip, drip that was in front of him. Quite on edge, he pulled out his knife cautiously and tried to recall a few spells. He couldnt think of the words to the illumination spell for the life of him, not being too fond of noises he couldnt see the cause of.

IN a flash of lightning the body of a dead pony could be seen hung from the ceiling. It's blood was what was caused the dripping noises. It gently swung from side to side as more and more blood pooled up underneath her. She had a big wound across her throat.

"OH CRAP!" Diamond screeched, she just barely managed to fly to the side of the skull. Instead of her head, She got stabbed in the leg instantly falling to the ground just outside the hall. The pain was immense "OWW!" Diamond practically screamed. Realizing the situation Diamond jetted back to the kitchen from where they started. Hoping that Star and Thrillseeker had made it out ok.

Star shuddered a bit at the gruesome sight. "Figures." He muttered. He heard someone scream and turned his head to look down the hall, it being too dark to see. He turned back around to face the hanging corpse. "See ya." He said as he walked around it, heading for the next room.

Thrillseeker froze dead in mid-air when he saw the light disappear. He clasped the candlestick in his hooves not unlike a teddy bear as his teeth started to chatter. "H-hello?" he whimpered. "W-where is everypony?" He heard screaming from the next room over and cries of pain followed. I hope nopony got hurt, he thought.

 

Out of the corner of his eye, he could see another flash of lightning, followed by another thunderclap which made him scream and throw the candlestick in the air. The candlestick dropped with a thud, emitting a "Yipe!" from the frightened pegasus. He looked around and started backtracking, or at least he thought he was.

Some small object fell down onto Thrillseeker. It didn't hurt him, but it should give him at leash quite a scare. A flash of lightning showed it was a unicorn's skull, but also that there was something standing only a few feet away...

The dripping Star heard was getting more silent as he walked away. The room he entered was completely pitch black. Lightning lit up the room to show animal heads mounted on shield hung all over the walls.

Diamond arrived back a tthe kitchen alone. Lumina, who had stayed there, was nowhere to be seen.

Star really hated being sightless except from the lightning. The animal heads he felt peering at him in the darkness where he could see them was unsettling. He walked where he had seen a doorway, cautiosly entering the next room and waiting for another lightning flash to flash his surroundings for him.

"Ow!" Thrillseeker called as the object bounded off one of his hooves. He reached down to pick it up, thinking it was the candlestick he dropped, only for a flash of lightning to reveal it was the skull of a unicorn! "Yikes!" Thrillseeker cried. "Hope that wasn't somepony I knew." He looked all around, half-hoping anypony would be there in the dark hallway. Backing up, he turned around to see in the light he had left a dark shadow staring at him.

Another flash of lightning occurred, but it only shortly lit up the room behind Star. This one didn't have any windows in it.

 

The shadow slowly stepped towards Thrillseeker. Getting closer and closer it appeared to be a lot bigger than Thrillseeker was.

"Great." Star muttered, spreading wings help him feel his way through the room as he walked foward slowly. He bumped his shin on some stairs. "Ow..." he said as he rubbed the foreleg in pain. "Hmm....maybe one of the others has a flash light. He turned around and began to make his way back to the kitchen.

Diamond crashed on the hard ground of the kitchen, A loud THUD could be heard as well as a cry of pain from the impact. "I need help some pony help me please!" She said shouting at the top of her lungs. Diamond kept calling for help, hoping somepony ANYPONY would come and help her. If she didn't get help fairly soon she was to going pass out from the pain.

Obviously something had heard Diamond. A large creature crawled up to her, inspecting her for a bit.

 

As Star made his pace back pretty easily without too many objects in his path, the lightning seemed to fade away, leaving only the rain outside to hear.

Knowing she was easy pickings if she didn't do anything soon Diamond gingerly grabbed her knife and used her wings to fly little bit off the ground as opposed to having standing up. "Hopefully... he's friendly." Diamond said clearly out of it she was counting on the monster to just go away so she can rot in the kitchen peacefully.

Whatever it was, its jumped towards Diamond. As it was moving rapidly towards Diamond its huge mouth opened, showing its double array of white teets glinstering in the little light there was in the kitchen. It was going to bite Diamond, kill her maybe even..

The monster bit Diamond in the mid section and back, causing her to fall back on the ground. Diamond then without taking a moment to think, ruthlessly stabbed the monster in the head and neck multiple times before flying off. Trying to get back near the halll, she did, but not before collapsing from the loss of adrenaline and the pain of being bitten and stabbed.

The monster had vanished, but left big open wounds in Diamonds belly and her back. Had it died? Maybe, but maybe she had just made it angrier. Only time could tell if it would make a return to finish it's job of killing her, and maybe everypony else in the mansion.
