Star had heard the scuffle from down the hall. He took off running in time to see Diamond collapse in the doorway. In the dim light he could see that she was hurt badly. Knealing next to her, he took a close look at the wounds. "Diamond? Sweet Celestia...." he said softly, trying to think of a way to bandage her gashes before she lost too much blood.

Thrillseeker took one step in the pitch black hallway and a heard a large clump behind him, unable to detect how close the shadow was to getting him. The pegasus jumped and turned around, swiveling his head back and forth in a futile effort to catch what was following him. A scream stalled in his throat as he trembled with his hooved on the floor, his wings pressed against his sides. He took another step backwards and heard an attack on one of the ponies from the hall. Was it that shadow? he thought to himself. Is it still there?
