Not sure if you are just wanting this thread to be dedicated to the PC version or not but I have been looking to getting back into BF4 on Xbox One. If anyone wants to add me for some multiplayer sometime, my Gamertag is on my profile. ^.^ Really been wanting to play the game more.

Sounds good! ^.^ I actually am unsure if there is a thread already for this purpose actually, but if there isn't, another idea could be adding all people who post in the thread in the main post, like listing their usernames and gametags or whatever they are using and then what platform they are on. :3 That could be an idea. Just something random I came up with.

Well I have tendonitis atm so I can't even leave the house hence getting into Battlefield 4 again, since the NightTime Map pack is out I'll be getting Premium.

The nighttime thing is out now? That is awesome. :3 I actually got premium around the time I got the game last year. Been looking forward to the nighttime thing, seems to be a very interesting variant on the maps that are there. ^.^ Now I am looking forward to playing it again even more.

Not yet It comes out In September apparently from what I've read.

EA released a gameplay trailer earlier this month. We are getting some new maps with Nightime as well btw (speculated to be two at least)

I have such mixed feelings about that game. The infantry and ground vehicle combat is great. But back in Battlefield 3, I never really did that. I always liked being in the Jets. So whenever I get on BF4, I get in a Jet, realize how much they suck in that game, then just go back to BF3.

 

It sucks when they ruin your favourite thing about a game :c

Yeah, but if I want to play infantry, there are better games out there. Like CS:GO. I played Battlefield for the vehicles and BF4 kinda ruined it for me.

If I want a game where I have to buy weapons between rounds I just play Killing Floor 2 tbh.

GO is actually very different from 1.6. 1.6 and Source are pretty much the same, but GO is its own thing entirely, and it's much better, in my opinion. This is coming from someone who played a lot of Source, though.

 

If you like competitive games then it's worth checking out. But if you play casually then you probably wouldn't like it.

I have too many games to play to 'git gud' at any of them really. I aim for the middle of the leaderboard for most matches in any MP game. Does CS:GO have persistent progression that affects the game?

Yeah. There are two different kinds of ranks for that. One of the ranks works like an average shooter, where it'll increase just based on how much you play. But then there's your skill group rank. You can theoretically start at the highest rank in the game.

 

The skill group is the one that you're allowed to brag over, since you can actually go down levels if you do bad enough.

Do these affect weapons/weapon mods/skins/perks etc like they do in BF4?

That's what gives a desire to keep playing in BF4, you can get new guns and make them work to your playstyle it's pretty cool actually.
