I'm pretty sure this is going to be fake just like previous Mane six princess stuff, as CHEERILEE is listed as a princess in the line, which pretty much nixes it immediately in my mind, unless its some quick "everyone turns into an alicorn for like 5 seconds then turns back" thing (i.E. about as canon as Big mac's transformation).

 

But its still news.

In Fanart, I am ok with this, but not in the show. In my opinion, she would be a bad princess. I mean, she wants to be a member of the  Wonderbolts. And I don't think that the Wonderbolts want an Alicorn Princess in their team. I also think she would be really unhappy to be a princess. So, no, RD as a princess would be not nice for me.
