She came out from around the counter, getting ready to lock up the shop as she went.

"So, can I see this present that we're giving to pyrite?"

"I found don't remember where I got it but I got this" he brings out a sapphire made into a heart "I thought it would be good present for him" he puts the heart back inside his outfit "also don't be surprised if you see a pony in that when he get there" he laughed a bit "its not a very far walk from here but I wanted to have time to greet the others, I kind of want to at least say something to each of my family there" he walked toward the door

 

"she said if we see a green and purple stallion, grab him and take him to Topaz"

"Wow, I've never seen a sapphire heart before, usually rubies are hearts and sapphires are more of a teardrop shape, that is pretty cool though."

Selena walked out the door with Jade, "We could fly if you want to get there faster." 

Gives me an excuse to try something at least, I really hope it works.

she closer her eyes with her face towards the sky, thin tendrils like spider silk extended from her back, weaving slowly into feathers and eventually entire wings.

Now to see if I can still fly.

The wings were purely ornamental, like her mane and tail. they served only to make her flying look normal.

She simply started floating, riding the magical currents as they flowed through the sky, she caught up to Jade, her pseudo wings more billowing than flapping.

"Well, this is different than before. I think I'll walk back. My body was not meant to fly like this."

"doesn't even look like you flying to me, then again I half expected this to happen" Jade said flying toward the party. They got there 15 minutes before the party started "you first" he held the door for her when what looked like a very tall orange pony was in front of the door "how are you?" Jade said as the orange pony turned around "welcome to the party Jade" he said getting a knife out ready to stab him "what the hell?" Jade slammed the door in the face of the pony "ok something is wrong here"

Selena had already noped herself around and was starting to walk back toward's Ponyville.

"Clearly someone here doesn't like you, but they ruined their plan by letting us know before we entered."

"We can just walk away now, no consequences, I mean, what is there to stop us from leaving and never returning?"

"my family, if the guards found this out then they will arrest them all with these ponies, I have to help them" he opened the door again seeing the unconscious face of the ponies face he just smashed with a door and got the knife he was holding "you can go if you want to, I don't want you to be hurt by something against my family" he said looking around inside to see a a long hallway leading to the great foyer, he walked inside

She hardened her form, taking care to ensure her hooves were as sharp as her name.

"thanks" he said seeing another pony walking throw a door in the hallway how looked like he was in liege with the other one from how he had the same jacket same as the other one. Jade got as close as he could which was behind the door "sup" he said as he stabbed the pony then cut his horn off "I'm not holding back any more" he says silent enough for Selena to hear but no pony else "we search each room, deal with anypony that wants to get in your way" he looked in the room to see quite a few other ponies in jackets looking like they were waiting for something but now looked like they wer wanting to kill the pony how just stabbed one of them in front of them "some help here would be nice"

Selena was understandably startled by this turn of events. Its not every day you see a pony you thought was just a passive thief turn out to be a full on murderer.

He just killed that pony.

Selena starts backing away, a look of horror on her face. Her body softened, hooves blunted.

A start of a memory formed in her head, she remembered, her adoptive father had been killed, she remembered holding his head before fleeing from the shadowy figure that killed? him.

 

I can't kill ponies.

Do it. Jade needs to live.

 

Selena's stance shifts, her body hardens, hooves sharp.

​Her inner light shifts to a sudden indigo, almost black. 

With but a nod to Jade, she bounds into the center of the room. Ready to strike at anypony that comes at her.

due to her countering stance when ever a pony tried to strike, they would be struck down which eventually meant she killed everypony in the room "I'm sorry if this was not what you planned" Jade said in a serious manner when he heard the front door open again with a scream following afterwords "I think some guests are here, do you want to clear rooms or me?" he asked as the screams got louder

Jade stabbed the earth pony in the back of the head "Pearl? there is some crap going down in there, you need to stay here, I'll guard the door for a while but...have this" he gives her a knife that the pony he killed just dropped "ok Jade I trust you...whats happening though?" "some ponies have raided the party and want to...I don't know but they attacked first" she nodded and looked up in the sky for any others coming while Jade defended the door

 

there is 4 hallways connected to the foyer but the foyer it self has more goons in them some ready to use cross bows

This would be much easier if you hadn't chosen such a solid body.

The other body I wanted required a constant flow of energy, and you were the one that wanted me to be a bit more mortal.

I regret nothing, this body has provided you with great life experience.

Her hair began change, lifting as if charged with energy.

the foyer has a skylight leading out to the rest of equestria, most of the pegusi try to get out throw it by turning it on its side. The earth and unicorns stay and try to fight Selena. some doors from the hallways open to have others come out

 

"I think most of the family is here" "were missing Topaz, Emerald, Garnet, Lapis and Pyrite" Jade looks back in the door to see Selena kicking total ass "stay here with the others, I have to help some pony" Jade comes rushing in killing two that didn't notice him "I'm back, we have a few of my family in here"

She looks up at the now open skylight, light from the moon pouring into the room.

A manic grin forms on her face, "Bad move."

With the added energy of the moon, she moves faster than ever before, striking out at all who lift a hoof against her with lethal blows.

I've half a mind to come down there myself.

I'd rather you didn't, Jade'd likely flip if he know who you were.

"its mostly just hallways with rooms except for going into the mountain, that leads to the kitchen and the master planning room" he kills another pony how charged at him by throwing his knife "be careful of traps and passageways, in this case they can both help and hurt" he said picking his knife up "if they want to keep hostages then they would probably keep them all in the planning room" he starts to run to the kitchen

 

"wait so is Jade alone in there?" "I don't think so I heard fighting when he wasn't in there" "why would we just let him and how knows to save the family" "I think he has is under control" "I'm not leaving any chances, Pyrite was the best one here and these ponies interrupt that? I think we should help" some others agreed to Sapphires idea

Once Selena moved through the doorway to follow Jade, a full shiver went through her, her inner light returning to its normal white. Here hooves remained sharp, her steps silent, but her hair went back to its normal form.

that's weird, I never saw her do that before Jade thought but then got focused "great" he replied opening the door to the kitchen to see an enormous assortment of many different foods and quite a few goons in the way of the fridge where the passage to the planning room was "hey assholes!" everypony focused on him "the other goons back there are dead, you want to join them?" some looked in fear which was good for them

 

"you really want to storm the place? some of us could die" "well do want are other members to die?" pearl remained silent at what he she said "exactly, lets do this, for the family of thief's!" she yelled as almost 20 ponies joined her in the rush inside to see many dead goons "how's this other pony doing all this?"

"So!" she said, drawing the group's attention.

"Given that there is no way we are letting Jade go in alone, and that they wont just let us all go in the same way as him. Let's use those very same passages they wanted to use to escape!"

She looks down at the ground, about to draw a diagram,

But I have no idea what this place looks like.

She looks back up at the assembled group.

"You guys know the passages right? It would be really awkward if some hired thugs knew this place better than you guys do."

"that your a insane pony, I do" "you left me" "your obsession was too freaky" "you...your just denying me!" "I don't like your love, you made me steal from my best friend to get out of your insanity!" "and you got your cutie mark from it, your flawed just like me" she picks up Emerald and points a knife to her neck "come with me Jade, don't you see my love is real? I would kill for you" "she's insane don't-" Topaz covers Emeralds mouth with her hoof "this mare is insane" a goon commented "I didn't pay you to talk" "put down my sister" "if you come with me, I will, I would let everypony free if you did but if you don't come around today, you'll come around sometime" "what are you saying?" "I'll take emerald to are little hideout in mainhatten"

 

(by a scale of one to ten, how dark is the story right now? I would give it a 7 based on how I know it can always get worst)

Selena looked over at Pearl, "Go have the others spread across as many entrances as they can, I've go my eye on this one."

as Pearl leaves Selena reaches up to her own face, and with a sickening pop, removes hey eye, which remains attached to her by a fine line of diamond dust.

Well, that didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would.

She then rolled they eye down the passageway, allowing her to get a view of the situation, and to read the lips of those involved.

Manehattan? Well, I can get some outside help on this one, that is, if We even allow this... Topaz to leave.

Very carefully she pulled her eye back, returning to Pearl.

"The mare who hired the thugs, and is holding the rest of your family hostage, Jade called her Topaz, that mean anything to you?"

 

(1 to 10 with 10 being Cupcakes? this would only get a 4 in my book so far, once Selena's backstory comes out it would be a 6. Believe me, I've seen stories that are quite a bit darker.)
