Gentle Secret stretched herself as she watched her fellows make up a plan. She was an explorer and going into such a scenario was a common practice for her, but those turrets are a whole different issue. Without magic, it'll be difficult. At best, she could go underground where that'll be her best bet, using her flexibility and agility to bypass the mobile lasers. The minefield would be a tough one, but using Midnight's map, she might be able to.

"I can take the underground route," Gentle Secret stated simply. "I do some exploring now and then, and the lasers looks similar enough to some traps I've faced before."

@@Akari of Duskshire,

Midnight shot her a smile before going back to her telescope, taking her time (to Fernly's dismay, most likely) and soon mapping out a hopefully precise enough map of the mines and the turrets to guide anyone who advanced. "Alright, got it. The mines get pretty tight in the middle, so maybe stick to the sides. I hope I got all of them..."

@@Demirari,

She offered Gentle Secret the map.

@@Totally Ducklett,

Gentle Secret gladly takes it and examines what was drawn in, examining each detail. Looking up and down from the drawing, she made sure the map was accurate, to prevent any surprises. After all, she didn't want to be accidentally blown up when she or someone else is trying to cross the minefield. That would be... rather terrible.

"This is... astounding," Gentle Secret commented as she handed back the map, "impressive detail. Let us begin soon."

"And what if they are playing a game on us and all we have to do is have one person pass to the other side and there is a switch there that just deactivates the level? We didn't really have to beat the Lizard either... seems like something do-able. "

Star would say, coming up and looking at the map. "Or quite honestly I believe the ponies here can make it without a plan, once they feel the adrenaline pump and have a general idea of what to do then it should run smoothely. "

Then he would turn back to Khris. "Khris, I know this is quite awful of me to ask or even propose this... you folk died plently of times and don't seem to bother for your life being on the line.... maybe you could make the run first... stick to the side where there are the least mines... and since you don't seem to mind dieing you could rid of the rouge mines on our safe path?"

Then a VERY wrong idea would hit him. "Or... activate all the mines you bloody can by diveing straight into them..."

Star would feel VERY akward for asking this, it was a rather heartless plan... but... Khris and Enzo really didn't seem to give much of a crap about such matters. Well, Khris did, but Enzo certainly not.

@,@,

Overhearing the conversation, she lifted her head in their direction and frowned slightly.  It just sounds so wrong.  But then, why does it make so much sense?  By Celestia's sun, there has to be another way...  She looked around for something that seemed heavy enough to trigger the mines, then had what she thought was a crazy thought.  ...What about paper?  She tore a sheet out from her book, balled it up, and faced the obstacle course, debating whether or not to throw it at a mine and test it.

Gentle Secret glanced at the crushed ball and the course. "Thinking about something?" she asked finally, her curiosity getting the best of her, "I'm guessing you're going to throw that crumbled up bomb at the minefield?"

"And," Gentle Secret turned her attention to the ponies, "we should probably get this started. I don't know about you all, but I rather get this going rather than sitting around."

Taking a few steps, Gentle Secret reached the edge of the blue line that separated the safe-zone and the course. Glancing at her teammates, she waited for them to ready themselves, not wanting to try to solve the course by herself.

Gentle Secret watched the chaos that ensued as the two stallions rushed forward into the course. She, herself, almost leaped into the fray but managed to steel herself. While she wanted to help her teammates, she didn't want to end up being a Swiss cheese. Turning her head away from the scene, Gentle Secret watched as Midnight gave Fantasy the telescope and nodded her head. That was a valiant sacrifice.

"Oh boy! Oh boy! This is exciting," Fernly exclaimed happily as it floated down and watched the action. This was the beginning of great excitement to it. Oh this will be fun, but there needs to be something more. Floating near one of the turrets, Fernly conjured another one into existence, this one pointing towards the minefield. It had finally figured out what was the problem was with the course: there wasn't anything that'll make the adorable ponies stressed out while navigating through the mines.

@@Demirari,

Finally being able to catch his breath Star jumped out, dodging the last laser and getting to the beginning of the mine field, gladly he didn't have to enter it but simply get to where the other folks were starting, but a bad sound caught his ears as they perked up, the turret appearing in such an uncomfortable position.

That son of a buck.

He thought before immediately diving in past the mine field, trying to dodge the turret fire as he ran backwards the course to get behind the turret guarding the bridge, mercilessly diving for it and falling down with all his body mass and strength left from the long run, the only problem being left... the turrets and the mines... and the turret guiding the mines.

Adrenaline leaving him Star just lay there alongside the turret, trying to regain his strength. A feeling of light numbness and hissing pain would hit one of his front legs, as a bullet clearly grazed him hard sometime during his run.

Fantasy Moon tried her best to silently convey her regret, but she saw how futile it was and simply took two of the lenses.  She stood at the edge of the entrance, seeing the work that had already been done, then she set off into a dash.

Just when the shots were fired, she dived behind some cover and, regaining her composure, she got to the turret on the left-hand side and put an optic over it.  No problem.  Mere beginner's luck.

...At least, that's what she thought until a bullet got her through the chest.  She felt herself fall and fade before she respawned at the entrance.  Good as new, but it took a long few minutes to register it.

@@Akari of Duskshire,

Trying to regain his strength and knowing what awaited him in this track, Star decided to return to the rest of his team-mates. Now that he had a hang of it he knew how to run and even pass this course without hopefully a single casualty... exempt for Enzo who would have to be vital with blowing up on mines.

Getting up, being directly under the turret Star made momentum and jumped across the bridge right after the last wave of water went down, before the turret could catch up he would be safe behind cover, dashing between and avoiding the main course turret, it being rather easy. He cought a glimpse of Fantasy trying to use the lense, and then seeing the turret prep to fire. Bursting into a fast gallop he tried and stop what was to happen... but as he knew he couldn't do it in time, as did a bullet go through, Fantasies chest, making her dissapear, only leaving a bit of blood on the floor.

Getting behind cover where the body was he felt a all new feeling of emptyness, maybe if he hadn't just ran in then it wouldn't have happened, maybe if he were faster then he could have stopped it. Just sitting behind cover he thought coldly, looking at where the body would have been lying now if the respawn system wasn't there...

She'll respawn... but...

In annoyance and rage at himself he hit the cover behind him hard with his hoof, getting up and deciding that wasn't gonna break him yet, now he knew how to do it and what awaited where.

Turning his gaze towards Dark star and then towards the other turret. He called out.

"We'll rush that one together. I'll cut off part of my tassel and wrap it around the turret's optics to blind it. Unfortunately, once i do so, i will go unconcious and likely die."

"Or worse, Enzo takes over."

"Now, I'll draw its fire away!"

Running out, and lightly waving at the turret he then begun running in the other direction than the "stag". The turrets fire following him close by, being on the thin thread of being hit any second.

Gentle Secret started running forward towards the tunnel entrance as the turrets' collective attention were turned away. Jumping into the entrance, Gentle Secret took a few seconds to collect herself as a turret pinged away at the steps. Turning her attention away from the entrance, Gentle Secret focused on the array of lasers that were waiting patiently for her first step. There were at least one-hundred individual moving lasers scattered across the long corridor.

A single block of steel appeared in front of her before quickly being sliced into minuscule pieces, as if to prove the lasers' deadly capabilities.

"And away we go," Gentle Secret whispered as she took the first step, watching the lasers starting towards her.

So strapping her bag tight to herself, she ran to the course, trying to keep her hoof steps quiet so as to not alert the turrets.  Or the others.  She could've sworn she saw horror in Star's face, but that didn't matter now.  Useless to think about until this is done.

Midnight briefly considered her options. She could, A, follow her teammates out and simply follow their orders, B, lone wolf it and try to blind some turrets or... the easiest option but the most painful and mentally stressful, use herself as bait and die a few times while her teammates advanced. The first option had the possibility to potentially hinder her teammates, as they had less cover to work with and the turrets had more to shoot at. Option B... well, she didn't have many combat abilities. And option C... anypony could do that, to be honest.

@, @, @@Demirari,

So... she chose a mix between B and C. Midnight ran out straight towards the turret Star was trying to distract, waving her hooves more frantically and getting closer to it than him. Gentle Secret took deep breaths as the first beams approached her. They were relatively slow, unlike the further ones near the exit, these probably served as a warm-up. Tensing herself, Gentle Secret sprung forward like an ambush predator, ducking down the first one before taking a decent leap over two rapid lasers. Landing onto the white material, Gentle Secret felt the force of her jump dissipate before she continued forward once more.

Slowly and slowly, Gentle Secret felt the boost of energy run across her body. It was magic time. This time at running speed, Gentle Secret ducked, jumped, leaped, slid, performing aerobatic movements that the average pony could only dream off as she made her way across the course. Spinning herself, Gentle Secret avoided three consecutive beams running perpendicular to the ground before widening her eyes and did a last-second burst towards her right as a laser-beam sliced off half of her tail.

Her body soon began moving on its on as she began dodging the beams, a decent amount at the last minute as her progress now halted to a snail's pace. She was nearly there, but the course got ever so harder. What were once slow or decently paced passes soon became near-death moments. The beams started to move at a rapid pace, moving at speeds that only a readied mind could respond to.

The turrets were programmed to be indiscriminate on what they shoot at, but there was one mare that was being rather annoying. One focused on the stallions while the other two began firing at the annoying mare that was screaming. A combined amount of twelve barrels soon began spitting rounds after rounds at Midnight Comet.

Fantasy Moon only had a few seconds to admire Gentle Secret's dexterity before she too had to move.  A shadow falling over her face, she walked in, side-stepping the lasers, ducking, jumping, something in a very distant mind going through every practical movement to get around the lasers.  Nothing fancy, but it still got her past them for the most part.  For her though, the ones at the beginning were already very close calls, she just didn't seem to outwardly register it.
