MLP G4 (FiM) has been confirmed to last until AT LEAST 2019, implying that there will likely be even longer. The story can melt to absolute poo, but so long as kids are watching. If there is a grand finale, it's to usher in a new remodeled MLP to fit whatever it is focus groups tell them kids want. That's IF they see a slow decline in viewership and sales. If it's a sudden decrease, they'll pull the plug instantly and reboot it. That's what they did with G3. There was no grand send off- no grand finale. They saw there was no market and knew they needed to revamp their image quickly. The rest is as you all know. I feel as if I'm one of the few people who wants to see MLP: FiM end someday rather than see it decay, jump sharks, and become a phantom of itself. A decent, beautiful series finale would be nice. Heck, I felt the feels when I watched Magical Mystery Cure. I felt like the series could have ended there; it had a beginning, middle and end, the culmination of Twilight studying friendship.
