Always happy to help. I'm sure you'll get to that point, just time and practice mainly. As long as you stick with it, and keep trying new things, see what works and what doesn't. You'll eventually find your style.

I'd be glad to see them. Sounds like they lived well, to be that old.

Update tiem!
First up, I couldn't help but notice how similar my OC Scribbler was to Moondancer. Even her cutie mark looks virtually the same, minus the pen nib on the tip of the moon. Personality wise, they're very much alike. Introverted bookponies, with more interest in acquiring knowledge than spending time at social events. I used to compare Scribbler to Twilight, but Moondancer is uncanny in comparison.
 

 

Second up, Hasbro went and left us waiting, so I thought I'd do something on that note. Can't wait to see what comes of this.

I have a couple new ones, only pen drawings this time, cause I've been tight on time lately, but here's the last 3 days. I'll add colour later on perhaps.

I Love your drawings.   And Im glad you like my horses, sorry it took so long to post those up here but ive been quite buisy with the holidays coming up and the Church stuff(I dont even believe in it), and stuff at my siblings school, etc...    

Do you have any horses, or have any experience with them, how their body moves and such?

Well, I did live out in the country, never owned any myself, but I used to see them on a daily basis due to having a couple of horse farms nearby. I loved it when they rolled around on their backs in the grass. Always thought it looked hilarious, cause they appear so majestic until you see them do that. Between that and watching the foals play, running around. I used to love watching that too.

More update time! I was a busy pony today. Did two drawings to catch up from yesterday's lack of work.

New work today was an interesting moment of having music pop into my playlist as I was coming up with ideas. The Ghost in the shell theme came up, and I knew what I had to do.

The character's name in the show was The Major, Motoko Kusanagi. This was a parody of the original movie poster design.
Also I completed it yesterday, forgot to post here.

Actually I do. They messaged me saying they hadn't intended for it to be anonymous, but it was set as the default. But yeah, I was able to thank them directly.

Well everyone, it's been awesome, but here is where the sketchbook project comes to a close. Fear not though, for there will be more artwork to come, and even commissions! The total number in my book is 98 drawings. Some were pencil sketches early on, but gradually I moved more and more into ink and colour as I went. Now, at the end, I have one final piece. Number 98, which has yet to be coloured, and I will post the complete version once I get to it, but here tis!

 

It's been a great project, and it has improved my drawing skills greatly with all the practice I've had. Daily sketching really did a lot more than I had even imagined for my technique, and style in drawing these adorable characters.

I may begin a whole new sketchbook thread for 2016, though I may be doing them less frequently in between commission pieces. For that, I will post a link here if I do create a new one, so you may follow me over to the new collection.

Well, the day is finally here. The first day of 2016 marks the end of my old sketchbook. 98 drawings later. But what is an end is also an opportunity to begin again! So here's to a new year, and to the opening of a brand new sketchbook for 2016.

I have been working on my drawings a decent amount so i figured i would post my most recent (and best) one up here to see what you think of it and to hopefully get some advice of what needs improved.

 

I also colored it in watercolor paint.  Its the first time i have used the watercolor.  I know i didnt get the color the same all around, even though it was the same block of water color paint.

Oh wow nice work man. I haven't really been checking in lately with anything new, simply because I'm having a bit of a transitional period. I have to move at the end of this month, so I've been spending a lot of time lately trying to lock a place down.

 

You've improved greatly it looks like. Watercolour is very tricky to work with, and you seem to have done pretty well. With this one, I would say the head and front legs look a wee bit small, compared to the size of the body, but it's definitely better than your previous ones. Keep going like that, and you'll be whipping out pony drawings like no one's business.

I actually ment to make the body smaller.  I didnt realize the size of it until After i inked it in......
