Wemes 9 September 26, 2015 Share September 26, 2015 Hi everyone. So as a hobby I make chainmail. I spent a bit more than 2 years coming up with and making a set of 6 shirts for the mane 6. I had a ton of fun making them. It's made using 16 gauge 1/4 in aluminium rings with anodized aluminium for the inlays. It of course will do very little to stop an actual sword from stabbing you but it's rather light and shiny. Wemes 9 September 26, 2015 Author Share September 26, 2015 I took it up mostly as something to do while watching TV. I have several friends that knit and I decided to make stuff with metal. I looked up how to do it on the internet and I either read up on how to do it or figured it out on my own. The inlays used a few computer programs to figure out the patterns and the rest of it was me just sitting there working on it over the course of 2 years. :-)

s.slug 218 September 29, 2015 Share September 29, 2015 Those are really impressive. I've tried making a chainmail shirt a long long time ago. I quickly abandoned it because it seemed SO tedious. You must have a heck of a lot of patience. Well done.
