She started thinking about everything wrong, like she normally did when drunk but this time she thought about something that just got her to cry at an instant

Theo took off his coat and said "If I was going to stab you in the back I would have done it already" He hung his coat on the headrest of his bed. He sat down to take off his boots then heard Elizabeth start crying. He started to get aggravated and said "I'm starting to regret taking you with me..." He said as he took off his boots and got into his bed.

"shut up...you don't know my life, just go to sleep and leave me alone" she spins around in the bed to where her back was showing to Theo "I...I wish you didn't say stuff like that" she said having a little bit nice tone back, like it was breaking throw then fell asleep thinking of her family and life as a whole

"Just go to sleep..." He said before closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep.

 

(middle of the night, around 2 AM ET)

 

Theo is awoken by a man's scream in the middle of the night. Theo jumped out of bed and, put on his coat and boots, and grabbed his bag. He walked over to Elizabeth's bed. He was about to kick her bed to wake her up like he usually did but decided against it. He started to walk towards the door.

Elizabeth was woken up from the scream but didn't move from the amount of pain she was in that felt like she was hit on the head sixty times "wait...I heard it to, I'm coming" she picked up her purse from the floor and tried to get up. She succeeded but she was griping her head the whole time "I hope that he's ok, however it is"

Theo looked at her "You got a hang over... You lay down, I can handle it." He said, pulling his ceramic knife out of his coat. Before Elizabeth could reply he was out the door and into the darkness of the night.

 

He put his guard up and started to walk down the street, the scream had come form the Southeast.

there is no way I'll leave a man to be robbed, killed or worst...that goes for the stranger and Leo, Theo, however Bright thought moving to the door feeling the pain get just a bit stronger but that just made her more determined. I will not let people get killed on my watch she thought going throw the door and out to the street behind Theo by about 50 feet away

Theo continued to walk in the direction of the scream. He saw an alley and started to slowly move towards it, his knife at the read. He looked in and saw it. It was the Man who they had ditched their bill on. He was sitting in a puddle of his own blood; An ax lodged in his shoulder. Theo approached the body "I wonder who he pissed off" He said to himself, kneeling down and examining the corpse.

"oh my god" she said going into the ally "I know you said to stay but" pain went throw her a second "I had to come alright? plus I have this" she pulls out her wand "we have to find out how did this, for the good of the people" also because maybe I could get a little fame as a good dark magic user...I am starting to think like Theo, aren't I? better than a necromancer that a ton of people think I am Elizabeth thought

Theo heard Elizabeth's voice and turned around "Why the hell are you here!? I told you to stay in the room!" He whisper yelled, trying not to make to much noise. "God, your an idiot..." He said under his breath. "Go back to the room and stay there, got it! I told you to stay there for your own safety..." He said before turning back to the dead body. "We are gonna have to call the police... God I hate dealing with them."

"I'm not an idiot I just" another sharp pain hit her head "I just wanted to help and this seems like the perfect time, I'll talk to the police if you don't want to" Elizabeth said "also I don't need to be safe because you could have been in danger...did that sound...weird to you?" she sighed "fine I'll go" she started to walk out the ally clutching her head because of pain and because she now did think she was an idiot for saying that but she was trying to put a positive spin on it like normal.

Theo took a two way pager (like I said, it is like the 20th century and 15th century combined) and sent a message to the Police "Man Murdered; Herillion Town; Alley next to library.". Theo sent it then tossed the pager into a nearby trash can so he couldn't be tracked. He then turned around and saw Elizabeth walking away. He sighed and put his knife back in his coat. He looked back at the corpse. "Who could have done this?" He whispered to himself. He then turned around and started to walk back to the Inn. The Police wouldn't be able to get here until Morning because how far away Herillion town was from a major city.

Elizabeth felt weird from what emotion she put into what she said "its nothing right?" she asked herself walking back into her and Theo's room "I'm just tired and my head hurts is all" she concluded and fell asleep. so much for getting fame, with Theo it might be infamy, she thought, why did that guy have to die? he was a hopeless romantic but...that should have not happened to him

Theo walked into the room 5 minutes later and looked at Elizabeth who appeared to be sleeping. He sighed before setting his bag back next to his bed and took off his coat and boots before laying down in the bed. He yawned and closed his eyes, before slowly drifting off to sleep.

The next day 9:04

Elizabeth woke up with her tail jutting strait up as she stretched "good morning everyone!" she looked around to see she was still with Theo "oh right...no need to do that now but wake up" she gets up and nudges Theo "next travel awaits, lets get-" a knock came to the door "we have come from a murder in this town, we are asking all residence or guests" "uh...what should we do?" she said silently to him nudging him more

"Wha-what is it..." He said sitting up. Theo heard the knocking on the door and got up to open it. He opened it and saw three people. He recognized one of them "Oh its you" One of the police officers said "Good morning Captain." Theo said sarcastically. The Captain had blue hair, an eye patch, and a blue cloak over his police uniform (think the Fullmetal alchemist military uniform). "yes, It would be Henry, if there wasn't a dead man in this town." The Captain replied. Theo frowned and said "I'm Theodore now...". Theo looked at a Red headed Officer "Who's your new Lackey?" The Captain looked over Theo's shoulder and saw Elizabeth "I would ask you the same thing"

"I am not a lackey, and neither do I think red head is" she said looking at Theo as she judged where he was looking "Also my name is Elizabeth and I won't have a changing name or appearance unless Theo drags me into something"  she paused "tell us about this person how died, do you have any suspects?"

"His name is Edward Jackson, We know who probably killed him was a human... of the short variety." The Captain said. "Just say they are fucking Dwarves" Theo said before whispering something under his breath "Damn Treverians and their damn politically correctness" He looked at the Captain. The Red Haired officer looked at Theo and said (in a german accent) "Stay out of it Henry". Theo frowned and sighed.

"well if I know anything about Dwarves, or short humans, its that they have grown to have a high affinity for alcohol over the years" she said trying not to sound raciest "also when was your name Henry? or is that your real name?" she asks wanting to know a little more about the person she is traveling with "so is there anything you want to know more Captain?"

 "I'm not Henry anymore, stop calling me that" Theo said as he grabbed his coat and put it on. Being called Henry pissed him off, and it brought back bad memories.

 

The Captain looked at Elizabeth and said "Has Theo done anything along the lines of Murder or Thievery. We believe he is guilty for both Thievery and manslaughter but we have no evidence. It would be nice to have someone testify..."

 

Theo looked at the Captain and said "I haven't done anything!"

 

The Red headed officer looked at Theo and said "He wasn't asking you"

"no, if he did then I have no idea about how, when, where, or why he would, so no I can not testify" she said telling the truth that she knew "I've been traveling with him for a while and I don't even know his past...then again he does not know mine ether as he never asked" she looked at Theo "I would never rat you out for things you didn't do, plus if you told me that you were going to do that stuff, I'd first talk to about the problem then if you still did it, I would possibly leave and tell these guys" she pointed to the captain with her thumb "think twice, like I do"

The captain looked at Theo and then to Elizabeth "Alright, well we will be off, sorry for bothering you..." He said before all the officers left.  

 

Theo was putting on and tying his boots. He looked up at Elizabeth and said "Thanks for not ratting on me... " He got up and picked up his messenger bag.

"I wouldn't do that...and I might have lied about going directly to those guys" she got quieter the more she went into the sentence with a blush forming but she snapped out of it "so, what are we doing? I bet the captain is going to take care of that other guy that died, so are we going to travel again? or are you going to someone first?"

"If they are in the town, we should get out of here... I probably need to change my name and appearance again at the next town." He said, not noticing the blush on Elizabeth's face. He stood up and looked at her. "We will also need to get you new clothes, If you continue to look like yourself it will be a dead give away, and once we get to the next town, I am calling you Eliza."

"awww" she lowered her tail "fine, Neo" she thought he might as well make up a name for him "what clothes should I get? I mean I like blue but I'm wearing blue so maybe like a black dress? oh maybe a nice purple, assuming I am even getting anything like a dress...oh and what about hair styles, pony tail? pig tail?" she gasps a little "should I cut it?" she was thinking about all these different things thoroughly "I never thought about clothes when I left, what will you wear?"
