As far as I know, the only Equestrians that know about the human world are the princesses, Mane 6, Spike, and Sunset Shimmer (she is originally from Equestria).

Yes, in the pony universe there is a fandom who watch a show about humans and write fanfictions, fan songs, and attend conventions dedicated to said show (I'm looking at you Lyra).   Jokes aside, there might be some connection between the pony world and the human world.
