I'm looking into geting a new PC that can run games. I'm not a hardcore gamer and I'm not expecting anything like GTA 5 on ultra, but is this a decent PC? Any other PCs around the same price I should look at? Also, Please don't tell me to build my own PC because I'm not interested in that.

(edit: ok on several forums I'v asked on, people say this one is garbage but I still don't know about the other one.)

I also think this one looks decent. I would possibly upgrade the graphics card if I went for this one.

OH COME ON. Building's fun, and you get better bang for your buck than a prebuilt.

Thanks for the advice. And I have looked into building, but I'm getting a PC for college, not specifically for gaming. I just plan on playing some games on it. For the reason I am buying, I don't want to bother learning to build. Even if it is not that hard.

Well, the CPU is decent, but the GPU is garbage for anything other than light web browsing or photo editing. Also, most pre-builts (especially cheaper ones) come with terrible power supplies that either aren't very efficient or are just overall terrible, so there's a strike against pre-builts. Also, I'm a college student and I built my PC. Granted, I don't live on-campus, but plenty of college students build their own PC. Not just me.

If you change your mind, please. Let me know. I'll try to put together a parts list in your price range.

I always tell people the same thing...

If you're not going to be a hardcore gamer or anything, and you're not gonna play games that demand like...next gen specs, then you don't need a gaming PC, you might even be better off just getting a laptop and then hooking it up to a monitor, and then set all of the games you want to play to a low res and graphics setting. You will also encounter less problems with you're PC this way in regards to you're graphics card and you're processor.

and also....It's extremely cheap...I'm talking like..only $400 to $600
