critique wanted My Fanfic Idea

We start off in another timeline of Equestria, where two friends live. But the situation turns to panic as their world is met with a tragic fate, it's completely destroyed, but they both escape with their skins intact. Both characters arrive in Ponyville, via time scroll(like the one Twilight uses in "It's About Time). Then they begin their search for the only objects that can save their world, seven crystals that must be imbued with a small amount of the elements magical energy. But to do this, they must first find the crystals, and the only one who could possibly know where they are is the princess of friendship and magic herself, Twilight Sparkle.

 

There are seven ancient sites where these crystals reside, and highly protected by magic. Any attempt to take them will result in a curse inflicted on the pony who does. Why I want to use Twilight is simple: She would know more about these things than anypony in ponyville. After much difficulty retrieving these crystals, they are given that magical energy, and the two characters are given another time scroll(the first was destroyed after they arrived). They use it and return to before that cataclysmic event, and use said crystals to stop it and save their home and everypony in it.

So this is why I ask for your help, people I've asked on other forums have turned me down, I am committed to any fic I do, some just don't understand that I have a slow learning curve in grammar.
