Aurelleah 894 November 3, 2015 Share November 3, 2015 I want to get into designing/remixing music, but I don't know where to start. I'm looking for a free program, that is excellent and free. Free is hard to come by, though REAPER is a good program that has an unlimited trial period and is only like 60 bucks when you decide to buy it. Doesnt come with any synths tho so youll need to look for free software for it. FL Studio is an amazing Digital Audio Workshop that is more expensive (between 160ish to 300 depending on the version you get) that many new people begin to use. Its colorful, intuitive and comes with an amazing assortment of synths, sounds, and programs to get started with. If you're wanting to do EDM, reddit.com/r/edmproduction has information in the sidebar that should help (in the FAQ section. The community there is elitist but the sidebar information should help) Hope that helped! Kagami-sama 320 November 20, 2015 Share November 20, 2015 (edited) I'm looking for a free program, that is excellent and free lmms is free and quite amazing, if I should say so myself. https://lmms.io/ Of course paid software tend to be better. But out of all the free DAWs, lmms is probably the best out there. Edited November 20, 2015 by Kagami-sama

LMMS is one of the main programs I use, personally. http://youtube.com/user/AuroraKnuxhttp://visigoth101.deviantart.comhttp://auroraknux.tumblr.com
Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824 December 2, 2015 Share December 2, 2015 Finale Notepad is a great tool if you want to get into score making and orchestral stuff. It's MIDI though. Sadly, as others said, nothing comes free these days.
