Zalgo 593 April 22, 2012 Share April 22, 2012 I have to wait one minute to post again after I post, I get a message every time: "[#103128] The administrator has limited the number of new posts you can submit within a short time frame. Please wait 45 seconds before replying or posting a new topic." It used to be ten seconds... But now it's one minute. Can someadminastrator make it stop doing that, or at least put it down to 10 seconds, please?

Only thing I can think of is for Cloudsdale Colosseum topics but even those don't move fast enough to warrant a post every 10 seconds. Rainbow Danger Dash 145 April 22, 2012 Share April 22, 2012 Oh Well... I know it can get annoying but being patient is the key to keeping your cool! the mods take this step to stop people from making threads that are spammy and limits them from doing that with there new wait times. personally i find this not as annoying as other's do. Just keep it cool man! 1 (Facebook)-(Twitter)-(Youtube)-(Website)
Zoop 8,384 April 22, 2012 Share April 22, 2012 I would imagine that the limitation is in place to help make it a tiny bit more difficult for spammers/trolls/griefers to raise too much havoc in the often short time that they're able to remain on the forum before being banned, and to encourage people to put more than a single second's thought into the posts that they make. Ultimately there are very few instances in which there is a legitimate need for a user to make multiple posts within the frame of a single minute. If the following process takes fewer than sixty seconds, you may want to consider slowing your pace somewhat, and/or laying off the caffeine. • Post is submitted. • Submitted post is given a quick once-over to ensure that everything is as was intended. • Next thread you wish to reply to is navigated to / • You begin F5ing your current thread for new replies. • Typing of new post is imitated. • Quick check of written post is made to ensure lack of embarrassing typos/etc. • Post is submitted. Remember - this is a forum, not a chat room.
Founder Twilight Sparkle ✨ 8,527 April 22, 2012 Founder Share April 22, 2012 We had flood control set to 15 seconds before, but I raised it to a minute a few days ago in the hopes of limiting spam somewhat (people leaving one-word or one-smiley responses are a bit of a problem). Can you please elaborate on why you need to make multiple posts within one minute? 3 Avatar credit: robinrain8 Signature credit: Kyoshi
