open FOE:Wait....where did everyone go?

"Today....today of all days....WHY DID I HAVE TO OVER SPEND?!" Dakota shouted out to the skies above.
On a mid morning, sunny day, a grey pegasi trotted through Canterlot looking through an empty wallet. 
"Man, where am I going to get extra bits to buy that high end coat?" Dakota says to himself. He looks around and grumbles as he passes a few booths in Canterlots shopping district. 

 

 He canters on for a few more blocks before stopping and letting out a deep sigh. He looks at his surroundings and notices a sign taped to a door. Being the curious mind, Dakota trots over to the sign and reads it:
 Are you an adventurous sort? Do you need a change of pace? Maybe bits is what you need? A fresh start? Whatever the reason, please allow the Cryogenic team to run an experiment on you. Pay will be upwards to six thousand bits per accepted applicant. Apply inside!

Dakota raises his eyebrow at the sketchy note and shrugs.
"Whatever, i need the money. They wont even accept me, but worth a shot." He walks inside and is immediately pushed into another room.

"WOAH, what the buck?!"

"Sorry, sorry, but you are perfect! Just sign this release and we will begin!" A hurried voice explains.

"But, i need to..." Dakota signs the form he was being pushed to sign and is pushed into another room with giant cylinders. The room itself was colder than any winter Dakota had experienced.

"Ok, all you need to do is stand still and we'll take care of the rest."

"Rest? What rest, whats even going on? Wheres my six-" And just like that, Dakota was frozen stiff as a board and put into one of the giant cylinders.

"Is this even legal?"

"We were told to be quite about ethics. Besides, you heard the reports of civil unrest against the two princesses. One invades our dreams and the other...well, you know how it does. We need to test these on nobodies before we use them on high priority ponies like them."

"Hhhmm adventurous, sounds like me, I live in the woods after all, 6 thousand bits, that pretty good amount of money, I could buy better equipment for my woodcutting, though I don't like the sound of this cryogenic, but I believe I'll check it out, I hope they aren't gonna make me do something weird." Berch says after reading the note he seen as he was leaving Canterlot, he then walks into the building and is trusted towards several rooms, made to sign a waver, then rushed towards one of the coldest rooms he even been in, and is put inside another cylinder. "So what happen now?" says Berch instantly frozen afterword.

Riley walked into Canterlot and read a sign saying something about cryogenic sleep (I could use the money. ) She thought (why not?) She pushed the door open with her left wing and stepped inside. "Hello?" She said wandering around before stepping into a room with giant tubes built specifically for Cryogenic sleep with two other ponies inside "cool." She whispered "no pun intended" after she was finished looking a stallion was behind her holding a contract like thing (well I came here for Cryogenic sleep so dang nabbit I'm going in Cryogenic sleep!) She thought signing the paper before she was immediately pushed into an empty tube and frozen solid

Alex received her orders from one of her officers "we need a test subject from the EUP and you got the short straw, see you in two years." She walked slowly to the cryo labs. She looked at the notices on the door. "there paying civies 6k for this, GREAT!" As she walked in a pony in a lab coat walked up to her. "Are you from the guard?" "Yeah, let's get this done with." Another pony places a rights waiver in front of her. The other looked at him "She Guard and don't need one." Alex spoke outloud to know one "yep join the Royal Guard and lose all your personal freedoms! So how quick is it?" "Very like 1-3 seconds, should be nearly instant for you." Said the first pony. They walked into the freezer room and Alex took of her armour. "where do I  put these?" "over here in this locker and here is the key put it round your neck the only one so no other pony can open it." Alex put her armour and bow in the locker, then placed the key around her neck and stood in the marked spot and closed her eyes...

Redshell trotted into Canterlot because he had heard of a place that will pay you for the long term equivalent of sleeping. Looking around he saw the sign and walked in. "Hello I'm here for the cryogenic freezing." He said to the pony at the desk. "Of course sir right this way" she led him into a long room with cryo pods "sir, I need you to put all of your things in here" she said holding a box "alright" he said pulling out a make-shift crossbow and bolts "thank you sir,now step in this pod" redshell did as he was told "how long will I be in here?" "have a nice day" with that the pod closed redshell was forcefully returned to his true form and frozen

[Flamestreak1990 1,172]

Flamestreak trotted non-enthusiastically into cryogenic labs, He heard about the labs from family members that had signed on for the experiment and encouraged him to go too .

Although he was vastly skeptical about the shadiness of project Flame however, was virtually out of money and was planning to be homeless in mere months, And six thousand bits would be enough to get him back on is his own hooves. Whether He liked or not this seemed to be his last and only chance to get a great deal of money, The Pegasus reluctantly signed on to procedure. 

 

"Hello?" Flame stated as he entered into the crowed lab, the stallion frantically scanned the vicinity to identify any familiar faces,

Almost instantaneously the arctic felling in the room swiftly fell over Flame he immediately clammed up. Not being one to enjoy the winter and much less the frozen tundra Flamestreak felt like he was experiencing The warm-colored Pegasus contemplated departing and to find money in a different way. Before he could act upon it he came to the wicked realization he was now immobile and yelled aimless for help as he was thrust violently into the cylinders the had been surrounding the room. The last of his yell quickly faded into obscurity as he blacked out from the inescapable and numbing cold.

Dakota hears a loud beeping followed by water draining all around him.
"I demand to see a lawyer....uhhh....the buck?"  Dakota looks around his surroundings to see himself encased in a cylindrical object. In front of him is a door that seemed to be painted brown. Dakota pushes on the door, making it fall down.
"Strange...guess they dont make doors like they used to." Dakota chuckles.
He steps out of the contraption and sees the lab where he was before the scientists pushed him into something he can't remember. 
"woah, they let the place go....OH BUCK! I hope this wasnt a fly by night operation. DID THEY STEAL MY ORGANS!!?!?!?!"

Riley woke up breathing heavily. "I'm gonna kill that Stallion! Nopony touches me without my permission" she tried to open the door to her tube. "It's rusted? How? It's only been like a few years! " she tried to force it but it just wouldn't open. There was a stallion outside of the tubes "hey Mr?" She called to him "can you get this thing open? I'm stuck in this stupid thing" she looked at him with pleading eyes

... and Alex's eyes opened to see herself in some sort of pod. She attempted to open it but it would not budge. Force is required! she moved as far back as to aim her head at the door. Then blew it off it's frame, then stepped outside. Hope that door wasn't too expensive. She looked around the room was dirty and debris was scattered around. She spotted another pony outside their pod, she walks over to him @@Rainbow Dash,  then spots @@The Pixelated Pony, trying to exit her pod. "hang on I'll get you out of there."

"Hey thanks!" Riley said smiling "if I know anything about cryogenics there should be an emergency release panel somewhere. that could probably force open the door. If it's still operational either that or break the glass." She continued to try and force the door open hoping that she could open it

Alex hit the release nothing happened. "plan B then". She again lowered her horn and used her telekinesis to force the door, which as so stuck she removed the door of it's hinges as well. Then moved it over to her pod out of the way, she went back the pegasis "nice to finally get you out of there, I'm Alexandrite but everyone calls me Alex, what is your name and you too over there?"

Berch blinks and shudders from the cold then looks around his pod to see that it whitened more since he came in it, "I guess whatever this is happens." Berch sees some ponies outside his pod "I wonder who they are, well never mind that now I got to get out of this thing, I'll freeze in here if I stay any longer." Berch looks around his pod "A release thank you." Berch pulls at it, noghting, "Well only way out is the straight forward approach, hope they didn't spend to much on the door." Berch pushes at the door and using his strength it slams and the door opens and Berch steps out, slips and falls face first onto the ground he then rolls over with his eyes closed and says to the others "I was hoping for something less painful, to my nose."

Redshell woke up and looked through the porthole and with a slightly gravelly voice he said "hey! help me!" He looked for a emergency access "there's no access in this thing, is anypony out there" he pulled a small makeshift knife stabbing it in the crack of the door to the pod and with all his mass he pushed breakingthe lock and tumbled out

Dakota looks behind him and sees three other ponies.
"Woah, where did you guys come from? Also, how long were you standing there?" He asks, wondering if he was caught up in another one of his thoughts.
Dakota often let his mind roam free, leaving him to daydream or blank out. He was once told artistic types of ponies did that a lot.

"Is that a changeling? @@redshell, What are you doing here? " She instinctively went for her weapon which was the other room. Right. Then picked up a chair with her magic. "Give me a good reason not to kill you."

 

(OCC: weather redshell is in disguise or not Alex being a guard can see past the disguise as they were given training after the canterlot Invasion. Unless that is too OP then I'll edit)

Berch say walking towards the door the all came through, "Name's Berch, but it's ironic cause I'm a lumberjack ,now, can anyone open this door, I'm worried if I attempt something I'll lose my bits to pay for these doors."

"Me pay you? What? No your supposed to be paying us! " Riley said getting pretty confused "wait wait wait" she looked out of the room that they were currently in. "You want your cash right? Very well we shall not do anything that we may regret and what are you all complaining for I'm not getting any bits for this consider yourselves lucky." Then caught wind of what Berch @,  was saying to Riley. "that's good to hear Berch, the last thing I want to do is arrest anypony here for theft. Now if you can't get the door I'll shall remove it if needed but first try the computer terminal over there I don't want to destroy this door if I can avoid it."

Dakota trots over to the computer and turns it on. The screen flashes on and off for a brief moment. A loading screen pops up and a menu is displayed on the screen.
"Uh....guys? You might want to check this out..." Dakota clicks on the title 'First log'

Sorry to trick you like this, we weren't sure if anypony would want to participate in this experiment. We wanted to test cryogenic stasis on ponies for really bad situations such as a world wide devastation or the two princesses taking ill and not being able to protect us. Anyways, we are sorry if one or two of you die. As we are still in the early stages with this some ponies bodies might not be able to cope with sudden freezing and unfreezing. The release form you signed was to relieve us from any responsibility of damages that may occur to you....whether temporary or permanent. Anyways, you should be awake if you are hearing this and two years should have passed. We predicted nothing important would happen within this time frame, so dont be mad if you feel a little out of place when you go out....

There were four more entries, but Dakota stepped back and froze with disbelief.
"T-Two years? TWO YEARS?! I MISSED THE GRAND OPENING OF THE MAKE YOUR OWN CANDY PIZZA SHOP!!! Wait...is my face ok? Am I still cute? What about my mohawk....do I still look hot? WHERES MY BITS?!"

Flamestreak leisurely awoke, groggily opening his eyes. His vision was slow to clear up it took Flame a few minutes to recognize the glass pane in front of him. When the Pegasus sight was fully intact he noticed a host of ponies outside of the pod which Flamestreak recalled he was in, The Red Pony struggled to wedge the pod back open banging his forehooves on the glass in annoyance, desperation set in as The stallion began to flap his wings, backing up slightly as he took flight smashing head first through the window. Blood oozed down his head at a alarming rate but the pain he was in was remedied by the fact he was now free, Flamestreak looked at the ponies in the room holding his head with a hoof

"Everything is fine you still look exactly the same as when I saw you enter. Yes I saw you enter. But by then you were frozen. And then that stallion put me in that stupid thing! I'm gonna kill him. I really am! No one touches me without my permission being given" Riley said getting as her name demonstrates riled up "also candy pizza? That's just gross" She looked at Dakota strangely
