Hi everyone! My name is Lincy and I'm working on researching the Brony subculture for a youth cultures class I'm currently enrolled in. I'm very interested in learning about some important values, activities, and identifiers associated with the subculture! And I'd also appreaciate any additional comments you have regarding my two central research question:

-Do you think the Brony culture emerged as a form of resistance to mainstream culture, manifestations of new styles of expression, or are they products of consumer culture?

- What role does the gender identities of Bronies play on the core values and purposes of the subculture and how does this parallel with the assumptions made by outsiders and mainstream culture?

Welcome! It's nice to have someone properly looking at the "brony" culture, I am not a general brony meaning I would not be able to fill-out everything in that thread. I believe proper bronies can answer your question. I would recommend posting this on a site like reddit aswell so you can get possibly more people responding to your short survey.

wow look someone who's actually going to ask the brony community instead of just instantaneously judge and stereotype us. i already like this guy (or girl).
