critique wanted Should I change my OC'S cutie mark?

Part of my OC, Parakeet Song, has been bugging me for quite a while. Her cutie mark, which is pictured above, doesn't appeal to me as much as it did when I first created her. I would like to change it to something more simple, but keep the general idea of a quill with ink behind it.

 

I was thinking of changing it to a normal quill with just black ink behind it and make the tip of the quill white. I like this idea, although I'm not sure how much others would like the look of it.

What do you guys think?

I like  the idea of the quill which if not,  and want to keep the rainbow colors is make the quill a rainbow feather with blink ink?

I personally like the rainbow colors, as it does remind me of the bright colors of a parakeet. Your black ink idea would probably work too if you wanted to simplify it.
