Thoughts on Starlight Glimmer as a villain

Starlight Glimmer is worst than Discord. Discord didn't lose his mind to take vengeance on Tree Hugger when she took his friend despite how much more easily he could of done so. The mane six were right to doubt Discord and they should have greater doubts on Starlight Glimmer who would make Equality town just because one of her friend sort of went away, there being no mention that she tried to contact him again.

The mane six were right to doubt Discord and they should have greater doubts on Starlight Glimmer who would make Equality town just because one of her friend sort of went away, there being no mention that she tried to contact him again.

 

I think the back story was really flawed due to the little we saw. With no confirmation if she even bothered to contact her friend again or vice versa. 

 

I mean for all we know, it could have been a misunderstanding/lack of paying attention like Cranky and Matilda....how there was an attempt, but the odds didn't work in their favor until he went to Ponyville. At least in that, we see what went wrong. 

 

But with Starlight Glimmer, we only see that one with on a different path with no efforts to stay in each other lives when they were many ways to go about it.
