Justin_Case001 4,895 January 16, 2016 Share January 16, 2016 Yes. You have to call yourself a brony. If you don't, the you're not allowed to watch the show anymore. Sorry, I didn't write the rules. It's in the by-laws of the Bronydom Charter: section 3, subsection 12, paragraph 4: "All fans of any generation of the My Little Pony franchise who are either male or over the age of 12, or both, must refer to themselves as bronies and be referred to by others as bronies. Failure to comply will result in a permaban from the internet, and said fan will be forbidden to watch or discuss the show." Yup. It's true. The charter also says that you have to own at least one piece of pony merch and make one post per week on the forums or you will be kicked out. It also says that if you intend to leave the fandom, you must give a two week written notice of your membership termination in the form of a blog post. Failure to comply will result in a fine. Yup. It's true! My sarcasm knows no bounds...
And 1 January 16, 2016 Share January 16, 2016 The term brony does not exist, it is merely a concept. Just do and think what makes you happy, plenty of people live in fear of the negative connotation this word has when it actually doesn't matter. Nobody has to admit to it. Ianpiersonjdavis 513 January 16, 2016 Share January 16, 2016 (edited) I'm a fan, but I never really liked calling myself a 'Brony'. Besides, there are female fans who call themselves 'Bronies' over 'Pegasisters' and guys who fit in the demographic to be considered 'Bronies' that just call themselves fans as well as women who might be considered one or the other, simply referring to themselves as fans. It's not really that big of a deal to most of us-and for me, it's a non-issue. Edited January 16, 2016 by Ianpiersonjdavis

Kivil 1,721 January 21, 2016 Share January 21, 2016 The term brony does not exist, it is merely a concept Actually the term "Brony" does exist. We are using said word to define/describe what we like. Also, the definition of "term" has concept in its definition so wouldn't it be both a concept and a term? 1 ~My life is a bunch of Discord~Yes, the pun was intended~Kivil~
