What could be done if this show had a much bigger budget?

Now I am unsure what, exactly the budget is for the show but being what kind of show it is I imagine it's decent but most likely not extraordinary. So while Hasbro obviously never would, let's say they were given a MASSIVE budget increase, say 3 or 4 times what is spent on it now, what could they improve/change?

Honestly not much. I mean the animation would probably be of higher quality, but at a certain point you're only going to be able to get so much out of a computer at the current moment. Money for the most part is more important during the production of an episode, or more accurately when it's being made, and in post production, when it's being edited for release and marketed.  The writing isn't going to necessarily improve (though you could potentially have a very loyal crew) and same goes for the voice acting. So more money doesn't equate to improved quality, at least in terms of story and narrative.

I've seen industries do this quite often. If they start getting money from the audience they will just keep doing what they were always doing. Why change something when their profits just keeps getting higher and higher? Wouldn't you do the same?

 

Unless they were given money or sponsored by another group or person and there were demands then they would change it for whoever gave them the money. They would work on a deal on deal basis, when it's profits from their business they play the market.

Maybe then they'll be able to afford more diverse background characters instead of cloning and recoloring the same hoard.

Well the animation will be able to reach almost theatrical quality.  The backgrounds will be much more detailed as well as that of the background characters.

The should would probably be milked for all it's worth.

But maybe it could finally get better worldbuilding and get more adventure episodes like Dragonshy.

I would honestly be afraid of this show having a larger budget.  It seems like large budget shows and movies are either immensely successful, or spectacularly disastrous.

 

It could work, but it would have to be done carefully.
