Eriador, home to men, elves, dwarves and hobbits alike is a peaceful western part of Middle-Earth, where the free-folk live their ordinary lives, oblivious to the dangers around them... but now following the War of the Ring, a great malice rises in the north, one the continent hasn't seen in a while as the flames and forges of Angmar are relit and the servants of the Dark Lord Sauron prepare to do his bidding and claim the homes of the free-folk.

Such evil was once held at bay by the few rangers... the Dunedain, split apart remnants of Arnor, the once great Kingdom of Men, but now the rest of the kingdoms must face this true evil, together, or be destroyed.

As you may have noticed, this RP happens in the universe of the great J.R.R. Tolkien, in Middle-Earth[Or as some people like to call it, "Lord of the Rings Universe" ^^ ].

Roleplay starts at the same time the Nazgul invade the land in search of the One Ring of power.

post-16949-0-07448600-1452617693_thumb.jpg

After the 'Dark Days' aka the Fall of Arnor some of the folk settled down past the Barrow Downs. They inhabit mostly the town of Bree and its surroundings such as the villages of Combe, Stradle, Archet and Combe, living their daily lives of farming, trading and such. Often brown-haired and short they were one of the few to know of the Hobbits living next to them in The Shire.

Average Lifespan 50-60 years.

Rhudaur

post-16949-0-18096800-1452617747_thumb.jpg

These men were a part of Arnor once, but during a civil war that broke off were later swayed by the Witch King after a king of Arthedain attempted to take back his land. They swore service to Sauron and Angmar and helped destroy the lands of Arnor. Currently much like before they are servants of Angmar, being a dangerous foe to mess with.

Average Lifespan 40-50 years.

Elves:

Rivendell

post-16949-0-52397700-1452617804.jpg

These descendants of Eregion live in the refuge of Imladris under Elrond Half-Elven at the Last Homely Home. They are a respectful folk, having no quarrel with Dwarves or Men alike, welcoming anyone who seeks refuge and rest to their home.

Sadly, their time is passing, and there are too few to properly face the evils that await outside their home, but non-the-less some try.

Average Lifespan [Eternal, 1000-3000 Years is young]

Lindon/Gray Havens

post-16949-0-96801700-1452618343_thumb.jpg

These Elves living in the very most Western parts of Eriador[the shore] are also known as the Talerii or Sea Elves, they are experts of the boat and have one of the more stronger elven presences in Ered Luin. Their main home is the grand Grey Havens from where they build ships to take the leaving elves across the sea.

Average Lifespan [Eternal, 1000-3000 Years is young]

Ered Luin

post-16949-0-18490100-1452617700_thumb.jpg

Hobbits:

The Shire

post-16949-0-96061800-1452618394.jpg

The Hobbits are a jolly folk, short and child-like sized. What is most distinctive is their proud big hairy feet. They are known to be undetectable and quiet if they try and are mostly something unknown to the rest of the world but to the ones closest around them. They live in their Hobbit-Holes thought some slowly begun moving to small one story houses alongside humans.

Average Lifespan 60-70 Years.

Orcs/Servants of Sauron:

Orcs

post-16949-0-53711500-1452618245_thumb.jpg

It is not really known where they come from, some say they are born in orc-pits, some that they breed among themselves. These people were once Elves and Men, twisted and turned by Morgoth into his blood-thirsty servants.

Goblins

post-16949-0-79903400-1452618203.jpg

Though some refer to them as Goblins, they are a breed of Orc living in the mountains, shorter than the average orc and weaker but very skilled in creating vast underground mountain halls.

Trolls

post-16949-0-98759600-1452618209.jpg

These creatures inhabbited the very North in tribes, but their presence is mostly noticeable in the Trollshaws. They are tall and dumb but once organized are a deadly force to be feared.

Lore:

Dunedain/Arnor

post-16949-0-66856700-1452617683_thumb.jpg

Arnor was the old Kingdom of Men who settled under Isildur and his heirs, split between 3 regions: Cardolan, Arthedain and Rhudaur. Facing a civil war the regions split into different factions which during the Dark Times lead to the kingdoms end by intervention of Angmar lead by the Witch King.

Here is a video explaining it perfectly.

sig-4323300.sig-4323300.sig-4323300.sig-

The Dunedain are survivors and descendants of Arnor, blessed with longer lives than the average humans these rangers are scattered in tribes all over Eriador, protecting the innocent folk and secretly keeping the evil at bay.

Their most important leader is Chieftain Aragorn, who after gaining much experience fighting for Gondor and Rohan returned to lead these people against the threats of the Dark Lord.

To most they are know as 'Rangers', and the common folk don't even know to their existence or as a tale or legend when talking about the old Kingdom.

Angmar

The_Witch-King_of_Angmar_succesfully_inv

Angmar was formed by the Witch King at the beginning of the 3rd age, where he planned to take revenge against the Elves and Men who beat the Dark Lord at the end of the 2nd age. With his fortress of Carn Dum he rallied the rebelling men of Rhudaur, Troll tribes, goblins and ultimately raised an army of undead to eventually finish his job and destroy the Kingdom of Arnor by assaulting Fornost and scatter the remnants of the proud people.

Eventually, Angmar was beaten by intervention of Gondor and Elves who drove the Witch King away from the land and destroyed his armies.
