Is there anyone else who doesn't care for Discord?

There was way too much pandering for the Discord fans. I swear season 3 and 4 were all about Discord.

They need to be careful about how much exposure he is given and the way he is portrayed. He's no longer a villain but that doesn't mean he has to lose all of his edge and become the 'Happy little Draconequus who flies around spreading smiles and merriment to all the ponies wherever he goes!'. Ugh.

Discord is great when he's done right.

 

What about Discord is an example of him NOT done right  . I'm all for him becoming more friendly with the mane six, but it shouldn't come at the sacrifice of his humor. The whole episode was built around the idea of an "inside joke" which are only funny when you are inside said joke. Even then, the jokes he was making were so outlandish that I don't think they would of been funny IN CONTEXT much less in the way they were portrayed.

 

So I welcome discord, as long as the writers do his character correctly. When they just expect the voice actor to do all the heavy lifting and not give him any good material to work with ,then I have a problem.

I don't care much for him. Honestly, I find him kind of annoying and typically don't like the episodes he appears in as he tends to steal to show from the mane cast, so to speak.
