Can you see Hasbro pulling a DIgimon Tri with mlp gen 1?

Basically, bringing the old g1 cast out of retirement, with Megan, Molly, and Danny grown up and reunited with their old pony friends, to help save the world from ponyland's threats. Updated animation, etc.

I could see this being a one time special sorta deal. That actually wouldn't be a bad idea. It would be awesome to see the ponies and world from waaay back when update in the modern style. :3 Especially since I know nothing of gen 1.

possibly, I have little knowledge of the MLP gen 1 universe o_o

 

My only problem with it being that  the MLP gen 1 was never as big as the first generation of  Digimon. Digimon Tri was something that the digimon fandom's had on their wish list for awhile now . I can't say the same for the MLP gen 1 with the current Brony fandom, in fact , It's safe to assume the majority has never even watched/liked MLP prior to the current generation. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 On the other side of the coin though, I'd love to see gen 1 be in a crossover movie with EqG. seeing the first gen in Eqg art style would be interesting o-o

Mainly because I don't believe that Gen 1 is popular enough to warrant something like that to happen.
