ggg-2 3,555 March 25, 2016 Share March 25, 2016 In season 4, they narrowly defeated Tirek after he absorbed the Alicorn magic, in Rainbow Rocks, Twilight had to rely on Sunset and VINYL SCRATCH, and in season 5 she had to convince Starlight to stop on her own. Lil Pip 775 March 25, 2016 Share March 25, 2016 They just wanna show you don't need to be a mane 6 to stop evil, and to mix it up a little.
Randimaxis 8,664 March 25, 2016 Share March 25, 2016 Are you kidding me? Look, the villains ALREADY have a rough time of things. They push the story along, keep adding in twists and turns that heighten the sense of adventure, they get the BEST lines... all because, in the end, they are BORN TO LOSE. You speak of a large amount of power? Consider ALL that ponykind has in their corner: Roughly one third of the pony population can use magic - there are Alicorns - they have each others' strengths to fall back on - there are Alicorns - there is a massive arsenal of magical spells, tomes and incantations that they have access to - there are Alicorns - when one is in trouble, more usually come to the rescue - there are Alicorns - they have the whole Elements of Harmony thing going on - there are Alicorns - just BEING GOOD can net you magic (friendship is magic, after all)... oh yeah, and there are ALICORNS. Personally? I think it's the HEROES who are starting to get too big for their harnesses - it takes a villain a LOT of work to deal with heroes of this caliber. The poor things don't stand a chance. ===== ( 0 ) ===== Fnord.
SaburoDaimando 1,196 March 25, 2016 Share March 25, 2016 (edited) I also agree that the villains make things more interesting for the Mane 6 as they always seem to keep them on their toes. Speaking of which, Human Twilight also came close to destroying her world just to get to Equestria(And she would have won had former villain Sunset Shimmer wound up saving the day). Solid 1,327 March 26, 2016 Share March 26, 2016 Mouth cannon, or oral ballistics in military terms, is the ultimate weapon for leading one's greatest triumph, or defeat.
Wraith Stalker 55 March 26, 2016 Share March 26, 2016 I like the fact its getting harder since you can actually get a feeling that they can be defeated now and now that they can just nuke them with the elements they have to find a way to defeat their enemy sometimes that isn't going to be easy.
