"Woah. I never knew you're a contestant." said Photon Jet after he was challenged by the Diamond Dog known as Jackie. Photon Jet was getting excited as he was challenged by his first opponent. Jackie may look young and inexperienced, but he knew he could be tough opponent. Determined, Photon Jet took a deep breath and got his jet suit ready.

 

"Alrighty Jackie! If it's a challenge you want then I accept but be warned, I won't be holding back!" he told Jackie.

Gale managed to avoid the majority of the wisp's attack a second time, but was hit in the chest by one of the smaller bolts. The dragoness then roared in pain as she was sent back a few feet and fell to the ground. She couldn't move her body and her chest hurt.

 

Blitz felt the shocks and sighed. "I want to help you get back at the people holding the tournament. Just calm down." He thought. For now, the bat pony was done with fighting.

"Ha! You wish you could!" Jackie taunted as he jumped off the railing and hopped over to the exit of the viewing gallery. "Instead, it'll be who will need to hold back, 'less I damage that ego of yours too much." He proclaimed, pointing at Photon jet. "Come! I'll show you to the arena. I know this place like the back of my paw, the great Jackie has perfect memory!"

"Ha! You wish you could!" Jackie taunted as he jumped off the railing and hopped over to the exit of the viewing gallery. "Instead, it'll be who will need to hold back, 'less I damage that ego of yours too much." He proclaimed, pointing at Photon jet. "Come! I'll show you to the arena. I know this place like the back of my paw, the great Jackie has perfect memory!"

"(He seems overconfident...)" he thought to himself. "(That could be downfall if he uses his ego too much.)".

 

He then started to follow Jackie to the arena he was mentioning. This is Photon Jet's first battle and already he was felling tense. He was looking forward to see what Jackie is capable of.

Jackie proceeded out of the main arena, approaching one of the smaller, themed arenas that were placed around the main building.

 

The smaller building was entirely enclosed and opaque. It haa a green, gold and brown Color scheme, and had royal elven architecture,

 

"Behold, the fiery arena that burns with the passion of the ones that fight within." Jackie bellowed, using all of his effort to push the huge, ornate wooden double doors that towered over Photon jet . "The MAGMA ARENA."

 

As the doors opened, they revealed a forested arena. Tall trees towered high above their heads and crisp leaves and fresh grass lined the ground. At first glance, it was immediately apparent that the arena was bigger on the inside. Morning light broke through the canopy of leaves in misty streaks.

 

Jackie walked into the arena, the large doors closing behind him as he did, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Wait a second..."

The moment he touched the wisp, however, it buzzed angrily, sending a shock through him. Obviously enraged, it bounced away from him, zipping around his body, before striking at the nape of his neck...Using enough power to explode itself.

The three remaining wisps didn't give up, trying to conjure a charge deadly enough to be fatal to her...Each attempt was pathetic.

The wisp seemed to understand, glaring down at the bat pony's eyes...

 

Before apparently agreeing, with a slow nod. A grudeful alliance, to wreak havoc on the Tournament.

The swarm had suffered major casualties from firing that bolt...And had the wisps been in their original swarm, she would've surely perished.

 

Several wisps started to charge an attack...Before almost like a light switch, their aura seemed to turn off, making them drop to the ground. They bounced once, looking about curiously.

Sparky nodded slowly, from his mane. Apparently, he liked it...

 

The wisps behind Copper had started to buzz again, looking the battlefield over.

Shadow knew that he got shocked in the neck, but somehow didn't feel it, maybe cause the battle worn him down a lot more than he suspected. He brought his claw down on top of it like hitting the snooze button hard enough to smash it into the ground. He didn't care if it gave one last shock, he just wanted it to leave him alone as he rested.

Copper could feel the wisp liking the name, and he was glad to have something that'll keep him company for the rest of the tournament and beyond.  He smiled.  "Then Sparky it is.  Welcome to the family.  Well, I'm the only one in this family with the exception of you, so..."

 

He heard buzzing, and he turned to see the wisps gathered from Sparky observing the battle.  A tear came to his eye.  "I'm so sorry, you all.  I wish I could do something to stop this, but... wait a minute."

 

Realization came to his mind and he looked back at the arena.  "They're doing this because they need the money to fund the arena.  Couldn't they just raise the money necessary for this?  Or is it impossible?  That just sounds so stupid coming out of this."

Photon Jet continued to follow Jackie into the designated area. When the huge wooden double doors opened, the arena turned out to be a forest-like place. He was puzzled when Jackie declared it was the 'magma arena'.

 

"Uhh...Jackie?" Photon Jet said to him. "I think this is the wrong arena."

Jackie paused for a second. He raised a paw to speak, before lowering it. And then raising it again. "Fool! There is always magma underground! Besides, the great Jackie is adaptable!" he proclaimed, bounding into the arena.

 

A trail marked by a stream of wispy blue light guided Jackie to the centre of the arena, which seemed to be a clearing with an imperfectly cirular pool of water in the middle. Jackie took his place at his end of the arena and began fiddling with his iStone. "Now, you shall challenge me! Er, whats your name again?" he asked.

Seeing as how the wisps simply wouldn't give up, Redwood kicked one of the remaining three, not hard enough to do any real damage, but enough to knock it back. She gave them a final glare before turning her attention to the rest of the fight, which seemed to be wrapping up.

Photon Jet rolled his eyes and shrugged. Jackie needs to learn to think before he acts. However, Photon Jet continued to go with the flow. 

 

"Whatever you say, Jackie and my name's Photon Jet." he said to Jackie. He looked back and see he is fully charged and prepared for his first battle.

After much difficulty fiddling with the device, he final let out a small ruff in triumph and tapped his iStone. A small Holographic pop-up appeared in front of Photon Jet. It had 2 buttons: 'READY' and 'DECLINE'. On top of both button, a small tagline was visible: Jackie has challenged you to a battle!

Photon Jet saw the holographic interface. "(Wow. Interesting.)" he thought to himself. With a single breath, he then tapped the 'READY button' with his hoof. This is it. This is his opportunity to put his skills to the ultimate test. His first battle had just begun.

The second Photon tapped the 'ready' button, a sensation washed over the arena. The chirping of the birds vanished, the wind stood still, but the sun stayed strong.

 

An ethereal voice was heard throughout the arena. "Battle begins in 3... 2... 1..."

 

Jackie cackled, his bracers glowing blue. In a split second, translucent blades of energy materialised from his wrists ( looks like the green blades here http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/starcraft/images/2/28/Zealot_SC2_Rend2.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110830075417) and Jackie charged forward, leaping over the pool of water to swipe at Photon jet. "First strike!"

Gale looked at the swarm as she laid there, and was glad that they had stopped. There would've been no way for her to dodge the next bolt in her current condition.

 

Blitz smirked at the wisp and looked around the arena. There didn't really seem to be that much going on, so he would simply have to wait.

A sensation washed over the battlefield, one that charged the entire arena with a tingly sensation. The unicorns felt it most, some of them scratching their horns a little.

 

The emotionless voice of the AI was heard once more. "Analysis has determined that the wisps are no longer able to battle. The wisp swarm has been defeated!" 

 

In response, the crowd cheered once more, more of because of it's drunken haze of euphoria: the outcome was pretty obvious.

 

Excalibur stomped his hooves, albeit with less enthusiasm than before. 'We had a dragon last year.' he sighed. 

 

"Initiating clearance. Stay clear of, or any parts of the monster(s)." The AI droned on. Runes began glowing bright purple around the arena, along with linear patterns, as if the arena was one giant summoning circle. "Extraction portal in 3... 2... 1..."

 

A black-purple sphere the size of a human hamster ball appeared over the center of the arena. It began sucking up the wisps, sucking the wisps into the portal with an unseen force. Strangely enough, no such force seemed to be exerted on the combatants themselves.

 

( This is where the main fight ends. Drago Ryder, Dwhitethegamer, if you want to keep your wisps, you better hold on to them . I guess P jay will be sticking around to control them. )

Shadow stirred from the crowd cheer and the announcement. He looked up to the cloud and decided to get up. He struggled to his feet and looked around to see that the wisps were being sucked in. He left his scythe right where it laid and started moving toward the gate.

Redwood was mostly satisfied with the outcome of the fight. This in addition to her past victory against Copper established her as a serious contender, and if she kept it up, Redwood might have a decent chance of winning the tournament. For now, she needed to rest up a bit. As Redwood walked out of the arena, she could've sworn she saw some wisps hiding with Copper.

Copper sighed and shook his head slowly when the battle was over.  He spoke to Sparky again.  "I'm so sorry for this.  I wish there was something I could do."

 

He then heard hoof-steps, and turned to see Redwood come in.  He smiled rather weakly.  "Hey, Redwood.  That fight was... entertaining, to say the least."  The lack of enthusiasm in his voice was obvious.  He was still upset that they were killing innocent wisps.

"Well, ah guess that's kinda th' point," Redwood said dryly.

 

Copper was obviously unhappy with something. Could it have been something that she had done during the fight? Whatever the reason, Redwood decided it might be a good idea to keep her eye on him.

The large black ball shrunk into non-existence, with a loud *zip*! A pregnant pause followed. An anticipating silence.

 

Excalibur walked up to the balcony to address the crowd once more. Clearing his throat, the voice amplification spell came into being once more. "With the conclusion of the battle, I now declare the tournament..... open!"

 

The crowd, with their usual hyped enthusiasm, roared in delight. The tournament's anthem resonated throughout the whole arena as the first fireworks shot to the sky.

 

"May all combatants please exit the main arena. Everyone is now free to engage in honourable combat. The list of available raid monsters shall be released shortly."

 

( OOC: the tournament is now open! Go forth and climb the ranks by challenging other RPers. If you wish, I can create a fighter of my own to challenge yours. )

Shadow slowly walked up to the stand, grabbed his cloak and lanyard, and threw them over his back, Then he walked over to the medical area, he swayed a little from the exhuastion and damage of the battle. He went to open the door, but he collapsed, while dragging a claw down the door and passed out from all the damage to his body. 

(He's still alive, just injured badly, the toll of the battle caught up with him)

Sparky heard the lack of enthusiasm in Copper's voice and went out of his mane to look at him, sorrow and pain in its eyes.  Copper smiled warmly, and petted the wisp, to which it cooed again.  "It's all right, Sparky.  You have me now, and I won't let them hurt you.  Ever."  Sparky looked at him, as if to say, 'Thank you.'

 

They both heard the tourney's anthem and fireworks sounding, which meant the tournament was officially under way.  Copper had a grin on his face as he turned to Redwood, with Sparky returning to his mane for comfort.  "This is where the real fun begins."  he said, rather excitedly.  Sparky understood the hype that was building up in his friend and, quite honestly, it was getting excited as well.

A white unicorn walked up to the medical center, a bag of groceries on his back. He stopped, raising an eyebrow at the dragon-like creature at his hooves. "Huh, I'd be damned. That was mighty quick." he muttered with a thick southern accent. Stepping over the body, he trotted into the medical wing. 

 

A moment later, he returned and promptly carried Shadow into the facility. 

 

( Shadow will wake up in bed with bandages over his wings and some of his claws and his neck, as well as being connected to an IV drip. There will also be a syringe filled with a red liquid which has a pressure gauge at the end )
