"Fine," said Redwood. "Ah'm surprised yer lettin' me keep th' photo though. Not much else ah can do with it to be honest. Ah could probably sell it, but that's beside th' point. Anyways, we're here."

 

Redwood removed her bandana from Hooligan's eyes and pushed him into his cell.

Hooligan smiled as he was pushed into his cell. He turned to Redwood with a smug grin on his face. "You know whats funny?" asked Hooligan rhetorically, "you gave into my demand for a date really quickly. Like i was expecting a huge debate. But you just said yes. I think someone is hiding her real feelings." Hooligan winked at Redwood

Before responding, Redwood punched Hooligan directly in the face. "Ah just can't take any risks."

 

Did Hooligan have an actual point? She did take that photo, and while she could justify it as a bargaining chip as much as she wanted to, that still seemed like an excuse that didn't totally fit.

Hooligan rubbed his muzzle but kept the grin on his face. As if Red's reaction all but confirmed his suspicion, "whatever helps you sleep at night sweet cheeks," Hooligan chuckled. Hooligan lay down on the floor, "speaking of which. I need to get some sleep, busy day tomorrow. Got a lot of nothing to do."

Redwood gave Hooligan a final glare before closing his door. She didn't want to admit it, but Hooligan might actually be right, even just a little.

Before going to bed, Redwood retrieved another chair and a table which she put in her beating room. For food, she'd just get something from the guard cafeteria. She went to bed a bit frustrated with herself that she had caved into Hooligan's demands so easily.

Hooligan lay back and looked up at the ceiling with a big grin plastered across his face. He couldn't believe that he had managed to score a date with the hottest guard he had ever seen. He sighed. And all he had to do was behave. Which could be harder then he might hope.

Nightmare got ready for bed and turned off the lights as she got in. Her horn lit up as a tray of food was teleported to Missklang

 

Shadow shooed the rest of the guard that were still working to their rooms, then headed to his bedroom to get some sleep before they came.

(Will change it to morning after Missklang goes, not rushing.)

A tray of food had teleported into his cell.

 

Well, what do you know! Dinner. If you excuse me for a moment while I consume it.

 

After Missklang was done with the food, she turned back to the guard.

 

Just in case, during the night, I will revert back to my former gender. So... yup... I guess you noticed I have a different... attitude and act a bit differently according to it... Well, goodnight Rys. I will get up around five in the morning so if you hear noise, it will be just me.

Shadow woke up and walked around the hall, scraping his claws against the stone saying,

"Rise and shine, the princesses could be here any minute.

 

Nightmare woke up and started to get ready

As she had been yesterday, Redwood was up early. She headed down to Hooligan's cell so she could keep an eye on him just in case.

 

"Now, y'all know what's happenin'. If yer real keen on gettin' this date, y'all best behave. Got it?" said Redwood. "Any slip ups, and ah mean any, and y'all ain't gettin' nothin'."

Missklang was already awake when he start to hear the sounds of waking ponies. He waked up earlier and was busy all morning crafting paper. The result of it was a very downscaled origami version of the Canterlot castle, with ponies around it. He already did all the structure and was finishing doing The princesses and Discord. He also had the time to draw a picture of Luna and of Nightmare Night, but they were laying on the floor, near the paper castle. He had already reverted to his normal male form and was waiting patiently for others to wake up.

Hooligan awoke to find Redwood outside his cell door talking to him about the Princesses visit. He didnt hear all of what she said, but he got the gist of it. "Don't worry your pretty little head Red. I promise to be on my best behaviour," said Hooligan as he got up and stretched.

"Good. It's time fer breakfast so get goin'. Ah gotta report in to Shadow, so y'all just gotta go on yer own," said Redwood before she left for the main hall.

"Sir," Redwood said to Shadow as she walked into the main hall. "Everything's ready fer th' princesses. Ah can promise Hooligan's gonna behave."

Missklang finished making the origami art piece and knocked on the glass door.

 

Oy. Rys! Are you there? Check this out! 

 

He looked back at the castle. Thinking about something, he grinned.

 

Well, I just got a nice idea how to greet the princesses...

 

He levitated one of the remaining paper sheets and pulled it below the door. On the other side, he folded it with magic into a spider. With a small pop sound, the spider starts moving. He descended it on the floor and the spider quickly ran out, deep into the prison.

 

Well, hopefully, that will help someone to wake up... Go wait for the princesses my little spider. Jump on that rainbow mane... hehe...

The guard lifted its head, stood up, and walked away

 

Nightmare saw the spider, levitated it, and started walking towards Missklang's cell. When she got there, she said as she placed the spider on the bed, 

"Wow, that looks great. Why are you still in your cell and not eating.

My spider! Aw, what a shame... Good morning, though. Animation magic. Give life to unanimous objects. One of my favorites branches of chaos magic...

 

He looked at Nightmare Moon.

 

Wait a second... No one told me I could go out! Rys! Why didn't you told me that?

 

He shook his head.

 

Nevermind. I don't usually take breakfast anyway. I guess it will depend on when the princesses will come. If we still got time, perhaps we would be able to find some tea with at least somewhat decent quality...

After checking in with Shadow, Redwood headed to the prisoner cafeteria to wait for Hooligan. She stayed by the walls with the other guards so she could get a view of the whole cafeteria. Redwood would be watching Hooligan like a hawk, and now all she needed to do was wait for him to show up.

After Redwood had left Hooligan slowly got up and made his way to the cafeteria. When he arrived he saw Redwood by the wall. He considered waving at her but realised that might make her look suspicious. Hooligan when up and grabbed his food, noticing that the carrots had been removed, and quietly sat down and started eating.

"Who's Rhys, no one was here when I got here. So you've been working on this scale of Canterlot. Anyways, when the door is open, that means you can walk out. What were you going to do with the spider anyways, hopefully nothing that could get all of us in trouble."

Missklang looked at Nightmare.

 

I named my guard "Rys"... 

 

He started walking towards the exit.

 

Ah, don't worry. A paper spider can't do any damage apart scaring arachnofobic ponies and at maximum give somepony a slight papercut... Well now I think about, it can as well poke someone in the eye. But as it's made of paper, and spiders's natural behavior don't include eye poking, I say there is nothing to be afraid off. Shall we go to take breakfast?

Nightmare looked at Missklang funny and said,

"You named a silent guard "Rhys"? I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or smack you across the head."

They walked into the cafeteria and almost the whole area became silent as eyes fell on Nightmare.

 

Shadow went to his office and sat down.

As Hooligan was eating his food when he noticed the room go silent he looked up from his food to see what the problem was. He smiled when he saw Nightmare escorting the new prisoner. Hooligan walked over to Nightmare, "hey Nightmare." he said happily, "you finally found a boyfriend"

Redwood glared at Hooligan from across the cafeteria and shook her head to signify that he should shut up. Even though Nightmare worked here regularly, Redwood still didn't want to risk it. Plus, Missklang was unpredictable and the two of them getting friendly could be disastrous.

Nightmare chuckled and said jokingly,

"Hey, Hooligan. No, just a friend. How's being shaped working for you? Been to the emergency room since yesterday or pissed off any guards lately?"

 

Shadow looked at the letter again, and relaxed a little, they were going to be coming around lunch time
