Artie stuck his hoof out to meet Dynamo's, "I'm Artie, it's nice to meet you Dynamo pad! If you just heard about pokemon on the way here, you're in for some fun surprises!" Artie said while laughing. "Do you wanna know about something that'll help out in battles?" He asked his new friend.

Dynamo's eyes grew wide and lit up in excitement at not only making a new friend, but getting some more help on learning about Pokemon. "Yes please! Any help will do because Pokemon seems to be really exciting now that I'm getting to know more about it." His facial features then took on a look of confusion and wonder as he looked around the area the ponies were gathered in. "By the way, has anyone seen Princess Twilight around? I hope we aren't intruding, even though this is the testing area for potential trainers."

Dynamo's eyes grew wide and lit up in excitement at not only making a new friend, but getting some more help on learning about Pokemon. "Yes please! Any help will do because Pokemon seems to be really exciting now that I'm getting to know more about it." His facial features then took on a look of confusion and wonder as he looked around the area the ponies were gathered in. "By the way, has anyone seen Princess Twilight around? I hope we aren't intruding, even though this is the testing area for potential trainers."

"Great! Ok to start, there are different types of items you can give a pokemon that do different things in battle, they are called heald items. One of my favourites, the metronome makes attacks you use repeatedly stronger. Not all items do things like that though, different berry's have different effects and some have no effect at all.  Depending on what you give a pokemon, it can drastically change the outcome!" At that moment the castle door opened and a small purple dragon with green spines came out "Hello if your here for your Pokemon Licence please follow me and take these review pamphlets (Pamphlets contain all the info in the links that doesn't reference the games or anime) to tell you your options you have as a trainer such as but not limited to the slandered get your badges and challenge the league , then there is the contest league where you make your pokemon look as applying as possible. and lastly there is the Pokemon Performers who participate in Pokemon Showcase this option is for mares only honestly no idea why but anyone can go watch them.  uugghh... sorry about how monotone this is but Twilight has been making me practice the intro all week my name's spike anyway if your ready follow me."

Dynamo was surprised that items could be held by a Pokemon and could have different effects varying on the item held. "Wow, thanks Artie, that's pretty cool. I guess that makes sense from what D-Pad had said about mega evolution Pokemon having mega stones being held on them." Dynamo heard doors being opened and saw the little dragon come out to greet the group of ponies. After receiving a pamphlet, he skimmed through what the options held for him. While contests and performances sounded awesome, he was more focused on the battle and league aspect. He then put the pamphlet into his saddlebag and headed to where the dragon was walking off to.

Artie looked through the pamphlet at the different types of trainers. He turned to @@Dynamo Pad, and said " I just wanna be a regular trainer, what kind of trainer do you wanna be?" as he walked towards where Spike was leading them. Artie then turned towards spike and asked "What kind of test are we going to take?"

Artie looked through the pamphlet at the different types of trainers. He turned to @@Dynamo Pad, and said " I just wanna be a regular trainer, what kind of trainer do you wanna be?" as he walked towards where Spike was leading them. Artie then turned towards spike and asked "What kind of test are we going to take?"

Dynamo turned his head to face Artie and started running his forehoof through his mane, deep in thought. "Hmm...I'm probably in the same boat as you are Artie. Contests and performances sound really cool don't get me wrong, but they don't really appeal to me like battles do." He then faced forward, still wondering on where their destination was at.

"That's pretty interesting. It feels like doing multiple things can be beneficial on a journey as a trainer." Dynamo couldn't wait until he could become a trainer, if he can become one. "Wait, there's more than just a written test? What kind of test is there after the written portion. Why does there have to be a written test? I was never really good at taking tests. I hope all the studying I just did will be enough." Dynamo wondered what kind of tests there would be after the written portion, but not before getting nervous at the thought of having to take a written test.

"I already knew this so I'll be a Trainer and participate in Contests." Flash said as he followed Spike. "This is so exciting!!! I can't wait to get my first Pokemon!" He then took another look at the pamphlet. "Hmm, a written section in the test? I suck at writing essays!!! I hope I can do well enough to pass..."

"Thanks for the clarification mr. Spike! said Artie, walking forward. "Wait, are the tests going to be timed, because I can't write that fast..." he asked Spike. Artie noticed the dark grey pegasus beside him and turned towards @, and said "Hullo I'm Artie, what's your name?"

Twilight was on the other side of the door getting ready to face the new trainers ready to take the test. She used the breathing technique the Candence to clam herself down. "Ok I can do this." She said to reassure herself. She opened the door and said "Hello my name is Twilight Sparkle and I'll be your guide to the introduction of Pokemon. Follow me to the first testing area for the writer test and those who pass will move on to the practical test as well as choose your partner Pokemon. So any questions?"

Infinity followed the line and Spike after receiving his pamphlet until twilight stepped out. "Wow," a princess. An alicorn. How simply fantastic, however he shook his head at himself for saying that out loud. It was terribly uncouth of him, and could send the wrong signal. But he came here fro one reason, and if it was a test to be taken, then he would take it, and so he followed Twilight Sparkle to the first test.

Dynamo heard the door being opened revealing Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship. It was great to finally meet her, but now wasn't the time for a meet and greet. He was ready to take the test to become a trainer. As he followed Twilight to the testing room, he decided to ask something that was on his mind. "Um, excuse me, Princess Twilight? I was just wondering, how many tests are there and besides the written test, what kind of tests are they?"

"Yes, I could see where that would be a problem." He smiled for the first time since coming here. He couldn't deny it, even given his attitude about everything, he was still young, and could barely contain his excitement. He secretly was hoping for a mystical type, like ghost, dark, fairy, or psychic.

Dynamo sighed in relief at knowing there was only two tests to take. Even thought one of them was a written test, his nervousness had lessened upon learning the information. "That's good to know and I could understand that. Can anyone receive a Pokemon or do you have to pass this test in order to own one? Also how does one choose what Pokemon to have as a partner?"

Flash's heart was racing at the thought of finally getting his own Pokemon. I can't wait! He thought. But I hope I can pass the tests, I suck at essays...

"Oh, hello Artie. My name is Flash Lightning, but you can call me Flash. It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too Flash! May I ask how much experience do you have with pokemon?" Artie said with a smile.

He then heard twilight speak;

 

"Well if pass the written test you get your Pokemon but you can only battle with them after your pass the practical test, and there is a field out back where you can pick out which one you want the practical is with your Pokemon to help improve your bond with them." Twilight told them.

"So when do we start the tests ma'am?" Artie asked with a nervous excitement. "And how do we know which pokemon to choose?" he added on.

He left his pamphlet behind when entering the room, taking a seat and picking up the quill with the glow of his horn. The others might have had no clue, but he'd been very much listening to them quietly the entire time.

Lost Infinity

1.) A type advantage is difference between the type of a pokemon and/or attack that give one a clear power boost compared to the other. For example, if one pokemon landed a steel type attack on a fairy pokemon, the damage inflicted would be exponentially increased due to the fact that the fairy typing is weak to a steel type attack. I postulate this attaches to old folklore where fairies are weak in the face of iron and unnatural materials. On the other hand, if a dragon type attack is landed on a steel type pokemon, it will do far less damage than normal, due to the natural resistance steel has over dragon.

2.) Six. I'm not sure why that is, but I'm certain that if I was allotted more, I could carry more. Must be for fairness sake.

3.) Four.

4.) Trading, special materials, bonding, and physical condition training.

5.) Potions on the go, but preferably one of those new facilities. The pokecenters?

(1) A type advantage is when one pokemon's type has an advantage over another. For example, a fire type attack would be super effective against a grass type.

 

(2) You can carry up to six Pokemon at once.

 

(3) A Pokemon can learn up to four moves at once.

 

(4) Pokemon can evolve by, leveling up, giving them a special stone/item, having a strong bond with them, being in a certain location, trading with/without a special item, and Mega Evolution.

 

(5) If your Pokemon are injured you can take them to a Pokemon Center to have them healed.

 

"Hmm, that was easier then I thought." Flash said as he turned in his test.

Dynamo took the pamphlet out of his saddlebag and handed it to Twilight before heading inside the testing room. Once he had chosen a seat, he used his magic to levitate a pencil and looked at the Question. He took a deep breath and the exhaled slowly and began to fill in the answers. "Okay, here we go."

 

1. A type advantage is where you have one certain type do much more damage when facing off against another certain type. Example: Water type Pokemon and/or moves are strong against fire, rock and ground type Pokemon. 

 

2. You can carry up to 6 Pokemon on you at one time.

 

3. A Pokemon can know up to 4 moves at one time.

 

4. Three types of evolution are: Stone evolution, trade evolution, and evolution by reaching a certain level to evolve.

 

5. You go to the Pokemon Center to have your Pokemon healed if they are injured. 

 

Dynamo levitated the pencil back down on the table, handed the test to Twilight and retook his seat. He closed his eyes and sighed in relief that he finally finished the test. He felt a little confident that he did fairly well.

Artie took off his saddlebag and set it outside of the room and went in. He chose a desk to the left and sat down. "Okay, let's do this!" Artie said excitedly. He picked up the pencil and went to work.

Evolution by experience, evolution by exposure to an elemental stone, and evolution by trading.

Artie finished quickly to his own surprise, "I thought it would take longer than that!" he thought to himself as he walked over to twilight and hoofed in his test. "Opps, I forgot to put the pencil back!" he said as he turned back to the test room. He set the pencil back and walked out of the room. He retrieved his saddle bags as he stood in the hallway, ready to take the next test.

Twilight looked over all of the test that was turned in to her "Ok after reviewing the test you turned in I have to say that not a single one of you..." Twilight paused for dramatic effect while keeping a straight face "failed this test, congratulations you all have passed. Now if you would please follow me we will go to pick out you're partner Pokemon now."

 

D-Pad was happy he passed now even if he failed the practical test he can keep his new Pokemon as a pet at least and they can try again some other time.
