Shadow gave a slight grin. Shadow paused for a moment trying to think of something to get his head off of his problems. "You said something about nightmare moon?" he asked.

Midnight nodded, "guess its not a problem keeping her a secret." he chuckled, "well, i was kidnapped when i was a colt, barely 2 days old, taken to goddess knows where, beaten, abused, malnourished, that sort of thing, cant count how many times my wings been broken,"

he frowns softly, "but, i was forced to participate in a ritual, beacuse my pitch black body was a rarity to them, i was deemed worthy to house nightmare moons soul,"

he looks over at shadow, "this was when she was still on the moon."

Shadow listened, rather saddened by what happened to him. But it did take his mind off of his own problems.

well, from what i can remember, we were at the ritual, the spell was almost complete when celestia and her guards break it up, i took the chance," he smiled, "and ran, ran a far and as fast as possible, i ran until i blacked out, in a river."

he looked down, "i washed up in ponyville, and have lived here ever since, taught myself how to fly, taught myself EVERYTHING i needed to survive."

he snorted, "all beacuse of that cult, i have hand nightmares every day of my life beacuse of them," he then smiled, "but i have one thing, and one thing only to thank them for."

 

His mane started to change, became wispy and dotted with stars, "she has been......a mother of sorts, has loved me, cared for me, even though she isnt physical, shes a part of me, i call her alex, for short."

Shadow stared with a obvious intrigued look. This was something he had never seen before, something rather unlikely for him.

it started to act like his normal mane but it looked like the night sky, his tail though mirrored celestia's and luna's, all wavy

"she can help me do this, since my body is also technically hers, she can take control when she needs too."

he smiled then looked down, "she has been my only friend for as long as ive lived in ponyville," he looked up in thought "which would be about 15-16 years now."

he chuckled, "ive lived on what i made from the weater patrol, which was essentially a couple of apples a day, i slept wherever i could, which was mostly clouds.

"but yes, nightmare moon is as much a part of me as she is of luna."

"I could easily be your friend, I'm sure Fire would be your friend, seeing he is much more, 'social' compared to me. I don't know about Harley though, I only just met him a while ago, still quite a unpredictable creature" he said "I've had a few run ins with Luna" Shadow added still keeping his intrigued look. They had almost made it back to the camp "

well, im glad to have made friends like you," he smiled, "you know, i think ill keep my mane and tail like this fora bit, it feels like an old suit i never have an occasion to wear."

Shadow nodded "Sounds good" he said. He did have a few run ins with Luna that were a bit different than the others.

midnight smiled and conjured his own tent, "ill see ya tonight then." he smiled and yawned, crawling inside before falling asleep.

Shadow noticed they had reached the Camp. He walked into his own tent in a attempt to fall asleep.

midnight rolled over, sleep was finally taking him, but the face of that guard, would probibly haunt him for at least a little while, his other self enjoyed it, but he didnt, he would have to do something about it, but for now, he was just too tired.

Shadow could not really fall asleep. He just thought about things that were rather unusual. Life was starting to be a big card game, and for him, he played all of his cards and lost.

Lockhart approached the camp. ​Should I sneak in, or maybe leave a note? Lost in thought, he hadn't noticed he walked straight into the middle of camp until it was too late.

Shadow walked out of his tent deciding there was no way he was getting any sleep. He looked at Lockhart "....May i help you?" he said. Harley was still asleep next to Xiro.

"He was turned by Fire, and if i would of left him by himself somepony would of gotten hurt." Shadow said.

"This is interesting..." he said. "So other ponies besides you can turn ponies into vamponies , can't evil you do it to?" We should break down his door and take him down before ponies get hurt and his army grows stronger!"
